December 20, 201411 yr Hmmm ... I can't exactly see/ reproduce what you are talking here. Neither does your screenshot help me in exactly identifing the possible location ... Aah ... you mean that big, gentle hill just NW where the two big rivers meet (forgive me, I don't look up their names)? Looks to me very natural ... And if its there, then its there because the geo data (elevation data) told the scenery generator to put it there. Definitely nothing I would worry about. Its not a bug or something. Just that I had not seen that in V2. The location should a little NW of CYPK. Yes that gentle hill but awesome. Ryzen 5 1600x - 16GB DDR4 - RTX 3050 8GB - MSI Gaming Plus
December 20, 201411 yr The flightsim.com torrents were working well yesterday, but seem completely dead today. Can't get a sniff, no peers around. :( I left mine on overnight and all day today. Probably don't have the same files you're looking for or mine should show up. i7-4790K o/c @ 4.8 GHz, Corsair H-110 liquid cooler, 32 GB Corsair Vengeance RAM, MSI Maximus VII Hero mobo Samsung Pro 512 GB SSD Corsair GFX Hydro GTX-1080 8 GB, (2) 4TB hybrid HDs Win 10 (1607), X-Plane 10.51r2 and X-Plane 11.01b1
December 20, 201411 yr And just in case ... could you please test if there is - possibly - another scenery messing with your landscape there (I do not say this is the case ... I just think, it could be)? And what settings do you use (especially "runway follows terrain" - which can mess up the landscape sometimes)? Thanks Andras, I am re-downloading as I write... The only other scenery I had installed was a WED build of that airport and the only thing in that area would be an exclusion zone. I have adjusted that zone and will try again as soon as I have the new download.. John John Wingold
December 20, 201411 yr But on the ground at KSEA with a Carenado 172, mesh v2, SkyMaxx and most settings pushed at or near max, it varies between 55-75 fps on the ground during taxi. That's really good, with these same conditions i would get about 30/35 FPS. i73930k, 16 gig, sandisk extrem pro ssd, GTX 690 Sli card  Ill be doing a full fresh install of X-Plane over the X-Mass period, so really looking forward to installing V3 Mesh. Have to say Andras, your deffo one of the hardest working people in the Siming world B) SEED PEOPLE SEED
December 20, 201411 yr Andras, As you said, it appeared it was a scenery conflict. It occurred to me that that area was right at the corner of an exclusion zone set up for WED. I tightened the zone to avoid that area and re-installed and all is well. Sorry for the bother at a time when I know you are very busy. Thank you for all your work. Merry Christmas to you and all. BUT (far you and all others): usually its not necessary to re-download (which introduces extra load in times when the servers are already under high pressure) anything just because it looks broken B) ... As long as you have the original ZIP files (zip compression "automatically" introduce CRC checking - so it makes sure that everything is fine, or it wont un-zip) its enough to unzip them again and again ... or just look for other issues first (before you consider replacing the package with a fresh version). Happy flying! PS: keep in mind, servers are still under extreme load, so be patient .... it will take some days before the situation normalizes ... December 20, 201411 yr Yes, it is taking days to download a single 1GB file this morning. The Flightsim torrent tracker has been down since sometime last night but I am still getting a few seeded uploads on my system as I have not shut it down. In a direct download (my only choice now), I have half of a 601GB download completed after 4 hours, so both the Torrent and the servers are next to useless. I'll give up after this one completes sometime after dark this evening, and try again after the holidays. I sure hope DVDs are made available sometime in the near future. The Torrent was a great idea, but it obviously didn't work. i7-4790K o/c @ 4.8 GHz, Corsair H-110 liquid cooler, 32 GB Corsair Vengeance RAM, MSI Maximus VII Hero mobo Samsung Pro 512 GB SSD Corsair GFX Hydro GTX-1080 8 GB, (2) 4TB hybrid HDs Win 10 (1607), X-Plane 10.51r2 and X-Plane 11.01b1
December 20, 201411 yr Author All the downloads and torrents will work as soon as the gigantic storm (of you, the users!!) calms down ... And flightsim.com is also working with full pressure to repair/improve the tracker. December 20, 201411 yr The Torrent was a great idea, but it obviously didn't work. The torrent will work and work perfect when the traffic dies off slightly and people Seed and don't just grab and run.
December 21, 201411 yr Which comes first, the chicken or the egg? I have 9 files seeding the dead Torrent (one still working from somewhere). Many with high speed internet have already grabbed what they want and gone, I guess. Only one of my files is being used, eight are not. But I can't offer more seeds until I can download more files. i7-4790K o/c @ 4.8 GHz, Corsair H-110 liquid cooler, 32 GB Corsair Vengeance RAM, MSI Maximus VII Hero mobo Samsung Pro 512 GB SSD Corsair GFX Hydro GTX-1080 8 GB, (2) 4TB hybrid HDs Win 10 (1607), X-Plane 10.51r2 and X-Plane 11.01b1
December 21, 201411 yr It takes a little while to Snow-Ball into a proper Seed, If I was to hazard a guess something as big as this I would say a couple of days until it ruins smooth.
December 21, 201411 yr I've had my computer on for the last 4 hrs with 24 seeds up and absolutely no takers. I think the trackers are borked. i910900k, RTX 3090, 32GB DDR4 RAM, AW3423DW, Ruddy girt big mug of Yorkshire Tea
