January 1, 201511 yr As a newbie,,,,,well that just stops me rite there I understand what you are saying It's going to be fun. Went for a new CPU setup this year, after being gone for a year and a half. Looking forward to some X-Plane mountain areas, and some Orbx small airports for FSX. Just caved in, for the 4.99 deal myself.
January 1, 201511 yr Hi there, i have just bought FSX:SE but i am waiting for PMDG, AEROSOFT, HIFI SIMULATION to provide new installers for this platform, do you guys have any information regarding compatibility . thanks Tamer Khayyat
January 1, 201511 yr do you guys have any information regarding compatibility There's a whole 15 page thread over in the FSX forum. You'll have to dig a bit into it, but I think it's pretty comprehensive at this point already. Here's the link, incase you're interested: http://forum.avsim.net/topic/457968-fsx-se-compatibility-testing-thread/ Best regards, Florian

January 1, 201511 yr Commercial Member Thanks for the HU. Just bought it and initial tests on my 3 and 6 year-old rigs are quite promising, especially with win8.1. Porting over 3rd party files from FSX worked flawlessly. All our future products will certainly have single installer for all three preferred platforms - P3D, FSX and FSX:SE. January 1, 201511 yr I just got it on sale as well. Like many others I have no plans to install just yet but over time if the SE version proves to be a clear winner then I will probably move over to it.....definitely will need my main aircraft to be compatitble though...ConcordeX being a big one that stand out and unfortunately FSL does not seem very inclined to make it useable on SE at the moment. January 2, 201511 yr Not that we as simmers are trying to compete with other good platforms, but in the few short weeks FSX has been on Steam, it has really eclipsed the competition (*which has been on Steam since late September....) This rejuvenated sale - even only two days long - will likely push this gulf even further. Source: Steamcharts.com Today's numbers for FSX, but hardly a comparison a $5 dollar game versus a $30+ dollar game. You put anything on steam on the 5$ and below and it's bound to sell especially with the MS logo.
