Please install Global Ai Ship Traffi v1 and 200 AI Ships and Ai Ship Traffic v2 and your problem will be gone at least for the ships in this project.
September 4, 20178 yr Here's a simple way to install this excellent package into P3Dv4 (will not work for other sim versions) using the new add-on.xml method. As of 04 SEPT 2017: Download Global AI Ship Traffic V1 Extract it into a temporary folder Download 200 AI Ships and AI Ship Traffic V2 Extract that into a temporary folder Move all six folders (Effects, Images, Scenery, Simobjects, Sound, route maps) from the V2 temporary folder INTO the V1 temporary folder. Over-write all files. I also renamed the V1 folder to V1+2 to indicate the two have been combined Create a new text file named "add-on.xml" in the main V1+2 folder and add this text then save: <SimBase.Document Type="AddOnXml" version="4,0" id="add-on"> <AddOn.Name>Global AI Ship Traffic V1+2</AddOn.Name> <AddOn.Description>Global AI Shipping by Henrik Nielsen</AddOn.Description> <AddOn.Component>
SimObjects\Boats </AddOn.Component> <AddOn.Component>
SimObjects\Animals </AddOn.Component> <AddOn.Component>
Scenery\World\Scenery
</AddOn.Component> <AddOn.Component>
\Effects </AddOn.Component> <AddOn.Component>
Sound </AddOn.Component> </SimBase.Document> Or you can download my add-on.xml file HERE Move this V1+2 folder to "My Documents/Prepar3D v4 Add-ons" (or other folder you've set up to contain your P3Dv4 addons) The next time you start P3Dv4, you should be prompted to activate this addon - click yes. All set! Please let me know if you test this and how it works for you! I've only tested in the Boston/Providence/NY/NJ areas so far, but working fine. September 10, 20178 yr Have you tried Little Navmap? It can show any ai ships within a certain rage from your airplane (PLUS a lot of other things). If you can see the ai planes in it, but not the ai ships then there's something wrong. Maybe there is some kind of FS) model ai aircraft in your sim, and that's enough to not show any ai ships. Sorry, that's all I can think off, but maybe Henrik who made most of the ai ships have some advice. Jorn Lundtoft I don't always stop and look at airplanes.........Oh wait, Yes I do. September 10, 20178 yr Author First thing is to look for FS9 style AI traffic bgl files - e.g. WOAI. They must be transformed to FSX style. If you don't have a lot of AI air traffic and want a quick test to see if some local traffic bgl gives problems, try to take a flight around Ushuaia in Argentina - there you will also find ships but probably no interferring other traffic files.
