A few news... We are progressing with new models including cruiseships, fishing vessels, navy ships etc...

The newest model coming out from the shipyard is the Floreal light fregate class in several versions from the French and Moroccan navies with and without a Panther helicopter supplied to the project by Bernard Juniot.

Still I haven't been close to my sim PC so nothing tested in P3D or FSX yet, but it will come... some time when I have a couple of days home without other things to do.

Next up the beautiful Norwegian royal yacht which I saw passing during a recent visit to Tromsø in Norway. The model is still just starting to take shape in GMAX, but the basic shapes are completed.

Great news Henrik. Funnily enough I was watching a documentary last night on a cruise ship and thought it would be cool if there were more on the virtual waves.

Colorado river and Compatibility with FTX regions.

Hi Henrik. Last year I asked you about this particular topic and you answered that Global AI Ship Traffic was compliant with FTX:

"All routes comply better with FTX or photosceneries than with default as they are done based on Google earth, however they are generally tested with both plus with the most popular payware scènes eg all Flytampa, Paulo Ricardo, and ORBX scènes plus the best freeware scènes e.g. Airports of Norway"

Well, I am afraid they are not. I thought the new versions would have the corrections for that area. But ships still go aground in the Colorado estuary in what FTX PNW sets as new shoals, islets.

I have done some searching and it appears that FTX NA PNW creates those islets. The islets are below and above the Astoria bridge. It is the only place on the River that ships go aground.

It might be a pain to correct, I understand but I can help if necessary. I could trace the routes for that sector in Google kmz for example.

I can only end by saying that I appreciate your work and this tiny tidbit here is a minor inconvenience.

Cheers

Pierre

Hi

It is easy to retrace, however those shoals seem to be invisible in Google earth, so if I have to retrace the route I would need to have either a kml filer noting their exact location or screenshots from the sim with precise coordinates - top down view. I do not have FTX on the computer I am travelling with so I can't test, but I do have the routes and can move and recompile in 60 seconds if you promise to test afterwards. And yes, the routes are compliant but it also says somewhere that where will be occasional groundings and collisions. Impossible to test every inch of the routes :D But with a common effort the most visible can be corrected.

I was wondering if you'd prefer I give you the exact locations of shoals or the actual routes corrected. I've decided to give you both. It is not a big problem anyway.

Glad to hear about the 60 seconds recompile. And yes, I will test them.

Cheers

Pierre

Everytime I try and connect to the Pilotedge network ie hit the connect button my sim just closes down? I'm trying to load up from KAVX to test out my new ORBX scenery.

This afternoon I installed the Global AI Ships package which was the last edit to my sim (except the install of ORBX KAVX) and some users suggested there was a conflict with certain boats in the LAX area due to them being fs9 models which is incompatible with v4. I manually deleted the following folders from the simobjects folder as instructed,

AI_AC_Sailboat
AI_Calypso
AI_John_T_Essberger
AI_La_Recouvrance

Do I need to delete anything else?

I'm not sure if I'm barking up the right tree here though because the sim does load without issue it just crashes to desktop when I hit the connect button on the PE client.

Anyone else using P3Dv4 with the Global Ships AI package installed + Pilotedge? Or is there an issue with ORBX KAVX > PE > P3Dv4?

I have just connected to the PE network at KSNA without issue so not sure if this is relating to the Ships AI package or not at this stage?  I'm just highly suspicious because it was the last thing I installed alongside ORBX KAVX.

Thanks

The four ships are the right ships to delete. Difficult to see what should cause your issue inside the AI package... Turn your ships and ferries settings down to zero and try again...
