Fresno is one of my favorite airports to fly into.  Airport's not the prettiest but I like the town.

Wow the black rock desert looks amazing! I've been "following along in SBuilder", lol. I'll need to add a stop in KWMC, Winnemucca now so I can fly over it.

 

The Duke is at KEMT, El Monte, CA right now - well sort of, I left it at Catalina and flew the A2A Skyhawk to KEMT but a friend ferried it across so my next flight will leave KEMT in the Duke for L52 Oceano Co which is the last freeware airport in the group that I haven't seen yet.

 

So I've done:

L35 Big Bear > KPSP Palm Springs

KPSP > KRIR Flabob, Riverside

KRIR > KAJO Corona

KAJO > KAVX Catalina

KAVX > KEMT El Monte (in the Skyhawk)

 

Lake Powell, Utah

HLJ, those dunes are incredible!

I just completed a flight from Namsos (ENNM) to Skien (ENSN).

Terrific RNAV approach to RWY 19 with 18-24 kts 50-70° right crosswind & gusts. Engine sound reduced to 50, I could hear the wind batter the cockpit 

 

With my DIY trackir, I got nearly sick  

 

Screens and - hopefully - video to come.

Thought about going to the super bowl from base (KHEF)... It's about 7 hours using 1/24/15 @ 13Z. date/time.. you want to make a vacation out of something like that.. anyway, Upper winds last couple months have been horrible.  IFR (IMC) or VFR below 18K would take forever. Without IFR, you'd be better off with a piston.
