with GEX 2.0 and UTX 2.0 in FSX SE, my fps performance is amazing with all sliders full right.  Doesn't look like FTX GLOBAL will be re-installed.

Interesting FSXSEPILOT. I'm just really torn here.

 

GEX: I own all of the regions and the price to upgrade to NA 2 is minimal

 

FTX Global: Big upfront cost, but I'll be able to leave my 6 FTX regions activated in hybrid mode. I just didn't like the constant switching between regions before. I almost never fly within only one region. I also have Jackson Hole and Ketchikan airports. I wouldn't install these if I went the GEX route because they are useless without the FTX regions. 

 

Save a $70 or make use of $150 dollars worth of add ons already purchased. A woman would be able to justify one of the options, but if I ask my wife for advice, she would kick my butt either way knowing that I send so much on FS:)

GEX textures looked worse in Midwest than default fsx and missing water towers and barns hurt the feel and I uninstalled it. GEX 2.0 won't make difference as autogen setup may optimize performance but lose barns, churches, water towers. Those missing do make a difference flying in Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Manitoba. It's subjective opinion but GEX 2 looks no different than one.

I just updated and left PHX for SAN. So far I see no obvious difference!??

The best compliment I can give Nick and the Flight1 crew is that when I return to Mount Denali. the Rocky Mountains or Lake Tahoe it looks exactly like I remember it, only the distant view is better.

 

It's like flying through beautiful detailed semi-gloss postcards and that's just the way I like it.

An update: The above was from an earlier statement I made in Post #15. I reinstalled UTX with Admin Rights and did not touch any of the settings in the program and it works great. In fact, I'm now using GEX/UTX exclusively for many flights and disabled all of my photoscenery as this stuff looks pretty realistic.
