In using multiple runways, how about distribution based on parking types and codes?

  • 2 weeks later...

Hi there,

Do I need a registered version of FSUIPC?

Mine isn't and I get some errors and warnings and AIController seems to not work with my P3D V3.

One of the first error is that I have scenery folders on another drive that the P3D's one, then I get an error message that indicates me that these scenery folders cannot be read as if they were on a network place mounted as a drive. So I think these libraries are not properly analyzed to build the taxi and runways paths.

Did someone experience that?

Hello everyone,

just wanted to check in to ask if this still is the current thread for AIController...? Or was the topic moved to a newer thread?

Regards,

Dimitri

Hi Dimitri, this is still the current thread.

Today I saw once again, how awesome AIController is.

I mean, look at this, AI lined up like pearls on a string

Any news on v2?

James Goggi

I tried to install AIController with P3D v3.4, but I get a Scenery.cfg error all the time. I double checked for the correctness of the Scenery.cfg path and even tried to put Scenery.cfg into a fake ProgramData\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v2 folder, but no way. I suppose v 1.4B is not compatible. Any news on v2? Thanks.

James Goggi

Hi, James, it's definitely working with v3.4.

Maybe it has something to do with access rights?

I would suggest to execute AIMonitor.exe as an Administrator. Furthermore I recommend to copy your scenery.cfg to another location outside of the FS folder,

eg C:\Users\>name<\Downloads and change the path in AIMonitor accordingly.

Can you show us the error message, when exactly do you get the error?

Regards, Sebastian

Thank you, Sebastian. I already execute AIMonitor with administrator rights. I will try tonight to change the scenery.cfg folder and will report, along with the error message.

James Goggi

Well, I reinstalled AIController as administrator and now I don't get that error anymore... ;-)

Roland, yesterday I finally managed to test AIController 1.4B. Upon observing AI behaviour with Flightsim Commander, I noticed that many airplanes arrive at a STAR waypoint, then don't fly to intercept the localizer but take another direction and they keep being managed by FSX and not by AIController. After that, they seem to fly around without a target, anyway I haven't yet been able to concentrate on understanding what they do.

Still about arrivals, If I force the use of the opposite side of the runway, some airplanes use it, but others remain under FSX control and so I have airplanes landing on both sides of the runway...

Same thing with the SIDs, at times after taking off they seem to be starting following the SID, but then have a strange behaviour.

In the end I see a mess of airplanes around the airport.

May all this be related with my observing airplane interfering with them? I tried to observe standing quite far from the area, anyway.

Is it possible to force all arriving airplanes to be controlled by AIController, in order to have a well defined flow of arriving and departing airplanes?

I have P3D 3.4, UT2 and have set the 70 Nm option. Thanks.

James Goggi

I am doing further tests: why do some AI airplanes perform STAR for runway 34 if I have wind from 160 degrees? I haven't forced any runway.

No messages by Roland since August :-( I wonder if v2.0 is still in progress... In August it was almost ready...

James Goggi

...In August it was almost ready...

No, in late August it was possibly soon ready to enter Beta testing, so it could be a while still. Roland prefers to only communicate when there is something to communicate which I think is perfectly fine. It is freeware after all...

Cheers, Søren Dissing
