British government supporting development of new flight simulator?

Featured Replies

Exactly, the British government doesn't care about flight simulation any more than it cares about rail simulation. It's just a photo call to boost the Prime Minister. ahead of the election.

No, fishing simulation is more their thing.

'The Prime Minister said.. 'Business's like Dovetail Games are a crucial part of our long term economic plan for the country, and it is thrilling to come and see the role they are playing in Britain's economic recovery' .

With a picture of the Prime Minister being taught how to play Train Sim? :shok:

Dunno where you get the impression that the government is supporting Flight Simming, they supporting game playing.

Is this one of the most important challenges you gauys have in economic recovery? Playing more games?

Is that going to be his election manifesto?  'Steam Ahead! Play more games, Play more games' :LMAO:

And this gives the Brits confidence in their P.M.? :Clown:

British governmental support is usually the kiss of death for anything aviation related.

Since when has the British governement ever supported aviation?

Probably the only time was when they forced BOAC to buy the V10 after the then Chairman A.H! Guthrie tried to cancel the entire Vickers production run!

DTG is a growing small business, supporting and visiting them is the business equivalent of photos of politicians kissing babies...

If it wasn't a games company, it would be something equally banal like a car maker or a bakery.  Recently Mr Ed's been doing that quite a bit too.

I don't get if we saw the same article or not.

There is no mention in it about british government supporting anything for us flight simulator people.

They just visited DoveTail because in the recent years managed to grow as a company and took advantage of that to advertise the new government campaign in favour of new businesses.

We don't need thse fake news.

Chock 1.1: "The only thing that whines louder than a jet engine is a flight simmer."

Good grief guys.  The posting was made with a bit of tongue in cheek.  Some of you are taking this waaay too seriously.

And BTW, what the government is at least claiming its trying to do is encourage small --> medium business growth.  Not gaming or simming or anything else.  But again - some of you are taking this way to seriously.

We gonna get Avsim, Sim-Outhouse & Flightsim to set up teams?
