I think it'll most certainly be built with the "niche" it represents in mind, and they'll most probably try to do it as accurate, flight dynamics wise, as possible.

This sim will have no opponent, IMO, unless Aerofly FS v2 for PC, if ever released, offers something equivalent.

They will most certainly concentrate their efforts in the Red Bull Air Races.

Add-ons with additional aircraft and race circuits will follow, I guess....

A Must Buy for me - after all, this is the sort of stuff I ended up using DCS and IL2 BoS for because I am  viscerally against War, even more Air War...

As far as I can see are they only talking about the virtual reality experience.
They didn't mention that you are able to fly the simulator by yourself.

If you miss the experience at Ascot then prepare for the chance to take off in Paul Bonhomme’s Red Bull Air Race plane at a Cineworld near you, just check the schedule below and get strapped in!

So just an virtual reality experience.

Imagine P3D looking like that - not going to happen but we can dream - thanks for posting this video

P3d is still based on the original MSFS FDM, which is a GOOD one for inside the envelope simulation. There are actually a couple of good Reno Air Races models for FSX / P3D.

But another interesting feature of ESP, and P3D, is that they're designed to also be controllable from the outside. That's exactly what we have when we use Aerowinx PSX B744 with P3D for the visuals. So, it isn't impossible to have in P3D top flight dynamics :-)

Yes thats what I thought until Jcomm posted the link to the games company.

It looks like it''ll be an actual PC game/sim ;-)  ...

Not an exactly true statement, FSX Acceleration has a number of Red Bull practice and time trial scenarios in it's missions. (Although no competitions themselves.)

Thanks

Very true Tom, and I certainly played it a good deal :-)

And, the default Extra300 in FSX isn't that bad in as far as FDM goes, while I prefer the new one I got with P3Dv2 :-)
