But not in Central Europe... LOL This is definitely one big issue with using VoxATC in P3D v3 that's needed be look at, along with minor others!

Keep in mind that the current version of VOX, 6.52, is not compatible with P3Dv3 with its' current installer. While I've been able to get it to work with v3, there are a lot of anomalies. Many have already been documented here. Will we ever get an updated version? Who knows. It appears Tegwyn is off grid for now.

Such a shame as this is truly the best ATC addon I've used.  This completed the immersion factor coupled with FS2Crew and the NGX.  Maybe Lockheed should pay Tegwyn for rights to the code and build it right in to P3D!  I think its time to get the in-sim ATC up to snuff.  Pretty sure its the original FS code from 2004?

It seems a full functional version is downloadble and usable for 15days.

 

I wil try to find some time to test this weekend.

 I tried pilot2atc when I couldn't get vox to work, but gave up with it for some reason.

 

Probably a personal thing, but it didn't suit me, and I managed to get vox to work in p3dv31 so it is not a problem.

 

Others may be more impressed.

VOXATC in P3DV3 is perfectly OK if you're prepared to handle the radios yourself instead of your copilot, and talk to 'Oceanic' most of the time.

 

The saving grace about 'Oceanic' is that you (personally) don't need to keep changing frequency between the different centres - it's 122.00 all the way.

 

(But remember to switch off your Active Sky ATIS on the same frequency!)

It would be a real shame if VOX development has been stopped. For me, this is the best ATC addon that I have used. Hopefully Tegwyn is just taking a break and has not abandoned it completely.

That was my point. I've been a VOX user for many years and Tegwyn (the developer) has always been pretty quick to answer emails. 

Migration tool my friend and you will be up with VoxATC in p3d v3 in no time. With that said I also look forward to the p3d v3 version if it adds any addition new features.

I did a nice VOXATC ( installed with the new "EMT") flight from Las Vegas to Burbank last night, and the biggest bug was that my first officer would respond vocally but would NOT tune the radios of my GTN 750. I had to tune the radios for her but then she, and the air-traffic / AI planes would respond again.

 

She stopped responding after a while, and I had to turn off FO aid.

 

QUESTION- Was that always a problem with the VOXATC FO/GTN750 or is this a new situation with Prepared3d v3.1?

N.B. Radar Contact v4.3 tunes my GTN750 when I invoke first officer aid, so I suspect the GTN750 is not involved with the VoxATC FO radio tuning problem, rather a P3d v3.x /VOXATC FO glitch.

 

I have ALL the VoxPop voices plus 3ATT, and 2 Win 10 voices installed...VOXATC gave a fatal error just outside of the Burbank Airspace, at which time I had to switch to the internal ATC which gave me good guidance to get me down to KBUR' S runway 8.

While I have v 6.52 of Vox installed in P3Dv3, I've had a number of problems and have decided to go back to PFE until there is an updated version of VOX. This version of VOX is not  P3Dv3 compatible so there's not much to say. Hopefully Tegwyn hasn't decided to call it a day for VOX development. 

In my case and at least another one, Voxpop causes a fatal error as soon as VoxATC is enabled, so that might be the problem. Others reported the FO bug, but all of them are caused by the incompatibility of actual installer with V3/V3.1 Until a new installer is released, the program working is a matter of luck
