December 5, 201510 yr Just to make clear, this isn't about IVAO models appearing on a video. The argument is about using IVAO models on VATSIM which has been prohibited. (whether it should be prohibited or not, is a totally different discussion) How do you define a so called "IVAO Model?" When I had it installed , It is quite clearly without a doubt, 100% made from other models readily available on the web. It's comprised of AIA, TFS, DJC etc. So how can you make a claim not to use something that's available for everyone? Clarke Kruger - CYEG
December 5, 201510 yr In the US at least (don't know about Berne) a "collection" (as well as a "derivative work") can have copyright that is separate from individual item copyrights under section 103. scott s. .
December 5, 201510 yr IVAO have agreed to immediately drop the suspension against Matt. They have contacted YouTube to release the ban You obviously know something that MT Doesn't. I'm sure he would have announced it on his channel. Super VC10 into LOWI with PF3 at a cinema near you https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=298UDyNmgUA
December 7, 201510 yr Update in a new video: Whilst Matt is quite calm about it (almost forgiving), the bit about "helping to repair the damage to IVAO's reputation" made me smile
December 7, 201510 yr Forgive me for going off topic for a minute, but......that image displayed in the video above is a very good example of just how static and boring the water looks in P3D. If anyone thinks that this is in any way "realistic", then they need to arrange for an eye test. Normal service can now be resumed  Christopher Low AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPU / 64GB DDR5-6000 RAM / 12GB Nvidia RTX 4070 Super GPU / Gigabyte X870E Aorus Elite Wifi 7 / 1+2TB Samsung Evo Plus M2 Nvme UK2000 Beta Tester

Christopher, you and I are equally obsessed with that dull water. uh... but it is a static image. Ed, what is it then that makes the water 'appear' as a big blue wobbly thing?
December 7, 201510 yr You need to check it again. The water is actually moving.....as a large texture sheet. No wave motion. No white caps. Nothing. Exactly like it looks on my PC. December 7, 201510 yr Ed, what is it then that makes the water 'appear' as a big blue wobbly thing? Beer..... Lots of beer....
December 7, 201510 yr uh... but it is a static image. It's a static view point, but not a static image as there is AI traffic flying around. So it does show the water in P3D is not animated at least with the settings Matt is using. Thanks Tom My Youtube Videos! http://www.youtube.com/user/tf51d
December 7, 201510 yr Is that actually AI plane traffic? If so, then ATC needs to arrange a meeting with all airline captains, and explain to them that buzzing the Sydney Harbour bridge at 100 feet isn't considered appropriate behaviour! If so, then ATC needs to arrange a meeting with all airline captains, and explain to them that buzzing the Sydney Harbour bridge at 100 feet isn't considered appropriate behaviour! Well I would hope it wasn't VATSIM or IVAO traffic! Thanks Tom My Youtube Videos! http://www.youtube.com/user/tf51d
December 7, 201510 yr Well I would hope it wasn't VATSIM or IVAO traffic! <insert joke about quality of IVAO controlling here>
