December 20, 201510 yr Commercial Member Considering no one has reported issues as such, and seems to be a common event to even post on the gold star award review stating non-existent issues, gotta make ya wonder... Wonder all you want but I am going to report your personal attack to a moderator. As a texture artist I will say again the night textures are horrible and the frame rates even with the update are not very good. Paul Grubich 2017 - Professional texture artist painting virtual aircraft I love. Be sure to check out my aged cockpits for the A2A B-377, B-17 and Connie at Flightsim.com and Avsim library

I wouldn't pay attention to Jon_aus as he's been caught before using other user names to bash products or this user name to support products like iFly. December 22, 201510 yr Hi In my other post I said I had refunded for this plane, but before doing this I thought I would take a look at the video posted first, and it talked about the 1a update. Now I only bought this software a couple of days ago from flight 1 and assumed it would be uptodate, it wasnt, so I updated, and all I can say now is im in love with this aircraft, with frame rates now on my system of 60 to 150 its wow, most of the niggles I had have been done, so maybe i should have check before i post. My fault, ok im a total dickhead etc. And to ifly sorry for knocking it, although maybe the latest vesrion should be sold and not outdated ones. End result, buy buy but its superb Mhazy

December 23, 201510 yr Here is a review or first look at the plane. It's very complete. It's a serie of 3 videos 1. 2. 3. Nice review. The iFly looks good, but...worse VAS performance than the PMDG 777, which is known as a VAS hog? Doesn't seem too promising. Has anyone tested that aspect of it with P3D v3? December 23, 201510 yr Hi Im running asn and utx europe, I7 4.7 gtx 980ti 16g ram Fsx steam Around 80in default egnx 140 to 150 when at 20 plus thousand feet
December 23, 201510 yr I have an older i7 2600 with 16GB RAM and a GTX 780. I will get OOM if I fly from flytampa cyul to flytampa cyyz. BUT - COMPLETELY flyable from default airport to default airport. Also running global, UT2 and open LC Canada/Alaska. Hope this helps. Mario Di Lauro
December 23, 201510 yr I really like the aircraft. The modeling is the best I have ever seen in any heavies every released for FSX/P3D. If the FMC says you have to be at a certain flight level and certain speed at a waypoint, you are there at that flight level and speed whether going up or descending. The only thing I do not really like is the wingview as the wings just do not look like a heavy (I zoom out to 30% at wingview making the wings look much longer and more realistic). But, other than that, this is a keeper for me. I have the frame rate locked at 20 and it is very smooth flying this aircraft. I just completed a flight from KLAX to KSFO with ASN, GEP3D, UTX, FSDT KLAX, and FlightBeam KSFO HD enabled in P3Dv3.1. Here is the result with the iFly747 as taken from the FSUIPC4: This is just getting from the Startup screen to the loading of the aircraft: 32822 Running in "Lockheed Martin® Prepar3D® v3", Version: 3.1.3.1 (SimConnect: 3.1.0.0)32822 Initialising SimConnect data requests now32822 FSUIPC Menu entry added32838 C:\Users\JimY\AppData\Local\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v3\Prepar3D_Default.fxml32838 K:\Prepar3D_v3\SimObjects\Airplanes\IRIS Raptor Driver\Raptor.air33415 Monitor IPC:024C (S32) = 325820843103 Monitor IPC:024C (S32) = 311318053087 Monitor IPC:024C (S32) = 311369263071 Monitor IPC:024C (S32) = 311318073164 Monitor IPC:024C (S32) = 300786883164 Monitor IPC:024C (S32) = 305968493397 Monitor IPC:024C (S32) = 3055468103381 Monitor IPC:024C (S32) = 3012824 =2.87GB107749 K:\Prepar3D_v3\SimObjects\Airplanes\iFly 744\iFly744_RR.air113303 Monitor IPC:024C (S32) = 2217104123552 Monitor IPC:024C (S32) = 1899444133568 Monitor IPC:024C (S32) = 1767600 =1.9GB144269 Monitor IPC:024C (S32) = 1251244 (After loading the iFly .air file, the VAS drops dramatically)145221 System time = 23/12/2015 16:05:38, Simulator time = 13:04:37 (21:04Z)145221 Aircraft="iFly 747-400 RR (Wide screen) BA"146188 Starting everything now ...146266 ASN active function link set146266 Ready for ASN WX radar149433 Weather Mode now = Theme151102 Advanced Weather Interface Enabled153973 Monitor IPC:024C (S32) = 1166080 (After the flight is loaded at LAX, the VAS drops even more) Here's a comparison with the PMDG 772: 30576 Running in "Lockheed Martin® Prepar3D® v3", Version: 3.1.3.1 (SimConnect: 3.1.0.0) 30576 Initialising SimConnect data requests now 30576 FSUIPC Menu entry added 30592 C:\Users\JimY\AppData\Local\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v3\Prepar3D_Default.fxml 30592 K:\Prepar3D_v3\SimObjects\Airplanes\IRIS Raptor Driver\Raptor.air 31076 Monitor IPC:024C (S32) = 3206556 40873 Monitor IPC:024C (S32) = 3060176 51106 Monitor IPC:024C (S32) = 3074800 61153 Monitor IPC:024C (S32) = 3027956 (Before loading the .air file; about the same as the iFly744) 68017 K:\Prepar3D_v3\SimObjects\Airplanes\PMDG 777-200LR\B777-200LR.air 93320 Monitor IPC:024C (S32) = 2395140 (After loading the PMDG777 .air file, the VAS drops dramatically but not as much as the iFly744) 103398 Monitor IPC:024C (S32) = 2052776 113600 Monitor IPC:024C (S32) = 1976724 123600 Monitor IPC:024C (S32) = 1788244 127625 System time = 23/12/2015 18:01:32, Simulator time = 13:00:21 (21:00Z) 127625 Aircraft="PMDG 777-232LR Delta Air Lines" 128670 Starting everything now ... 128717 ASN active function link set 128717 Ready for ASN WX radar 131197 Weather Mode now = Theme 133428 Monitor IPC:024C (S32) = 860512 134036 Advanced Weather Interface Enabled 143428 Monitor IPC:024C (S32) = 1165700 (After the flight is loaded at LAX, the VAS drops even more and about the same as the iFly744) I stopped the flight with the PMDG 777 as the VAS usage was about the same or around 1GB of VAS remaining throughout the flight until nearing KSFO HD. Then the VAS dropped to around 790MB's (as shown in the FSUIPC.log). Here is the summary at the end of the iFly744 log: Minimum frame rate was 9.5 fps, Maximum was 19.9 fpsMinimum available memory recorded was 461Mb (this happened along the glideslope during the landing phase; ended up with 789MB's of VAS remaining).Average frame rate for running time of 3858 secs = 19.3 fpsMemory managed: 1743 Allocs, 1743 Freed Not scientific. Every system is different but it gives everyone an idea as to the performance between the iFly744 and the PMDG772. I'm completely happy with the results!!
