I felt a hit in the performance. I like to use high settings.

It's just me or the V3.1 update had a clear drop in FPS performance? I had to uninstall this update and came back to V3.0 in order to have my FPS back...

No difference for me. The issue is a sudden loss in performance between two simulator sessions, without any changes to the sim or the pc... I've had it with version 3 as well as version 3.1...

Is it P3D specific Bert.... i.e. how does Project Cars perform?

My Project Car settings are high to ultra David. No problem there. It is a P3D thing.

Worrying....

Don't shoot the messenger Bert - but I'm assuming that you will have looked at all the usual suspects (cfg, exe dll et.al.)?

I have tried to let P3D rebuild the prepar3d.cfg. That didn't make any difference... As far as dll's are cocerned I only use ASN. But when the sim was running great I also had ASN active, so it can't be the cause. I have a feeling it is somehow related to Orbx software, but I may be wrong...

Does your TaskBar 'AutoHide' Bert? Mike has posted an interesting find about the TaskBar causing fps drops in a Multi-Monitor situation.

Thanks for the link David. But I only use one monitor...

I have the same issue Bert....  Did a new and clean P3Dv3.1 install with all my addons. Everything was great, until i then installed my Orbx addons. After that, FPS dropped and now i get a lot of micro stutters:-(

Well the problem is resolved again. I tried to see what happened if I disabled Orbx objectflow, so I turned it of in the P3D dll.xml file. When I started the sim after that my frames were back to normal again. I then closed the sim and enabled objectflow again. Fortunately the frames didn't drop, so all's good now. Maybe you can try this too Phil.

Will try that myself Bert ....

How bizarre - will try that.....

Could you explain how to do it, Bert?

Thanks in advance.
