March 1, 201610 yr Yup, I've run the "Ten" scheme privately for a while and everything Johnny does is Top Drawer..
March 1, 201610 yr Hi Ron, I was wondering if the XLS will include integration with ASN weather radar gauge? Hopefully Thank you Regards, John
March 1, 201610 yr Sorry John, we have no plans to include that vendors gauge...That said, we hear that ASN owners can have it as a popup in any aircraft. We don't use ASN so perhaps others can shed light on how that works. O M G !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bless you Ron  Thanks Vincent.
March 1, 201610 yr Ron do you know where the navigraph files are stored for the Citation? I installed my airac cycle but it went for "FSX" and not P3D. I can't find the data so I can move it on my drive to power P3D's airac. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
March 1, 201610 yr This morning we uploaded a new CX2.0 Installer to address a few issues with FSX:Steam. In testing, we pointed the new installer to our LM:P3Dv3.1 Academic Version. We were quite surprised and pleased to find that it loads and flies fine in LM:P3Dv3.1 Academic Version using the current FSX:MS Acceleration license. The same applies to Dovetail Games FSX:Steam Edition. Please keep in mind that those interested, and current owners, must download the CX20X.zip uploaded to our site on or after March 1, 2016. Current owners may of course, redownload and reinstall using existing license or point install to their LM:P3Dv3.1 Academic Version. Excellent. My favorite bird of all time.
March 1, 201610 yr Commercial Member Ron do you know where the navigraph files are stored for the Citation? I installed my airac cycle but it went for "FSX" and not P3D. I can't find the data so I can move it on my drive to power P3D's airac. There is no 'FSX' location... it's a folder in your AppData area. It should work ok in Prepar3D as is. Hi Ron, I was wondering if the XLS will include integration with ASN weather radar gauge? Hopefully Thank you Regards, John Absolutely will not be providing support for ASN's 'radar'. March 2, 201610 yr ok , thanks for the info, will there be a weather radar included? This is pretty much standard these days in any quality payware.
March 2, 201610 yr ok , thanks for the info, will there be a weather radar included? This is pretty much standard these days in any quality payware. John, we are unaware of a WR "Standard". What about the question asked earlier re: ASN Popups for those who own the product? Ryan, the location in Appdata is the same. Remember, you are simply running an FSX Product, built for FSX Acceleration, in P3Dv3.1.
March 2, 201610 yr Hi Ron, yes one could install their gauge and use a 2D popup, but I exclusively fly from the VC and don't want to use 2D Panels. It ruins my experience (I am sure others would be happy with this, but that is my preference) It is a shame that ASN integration wont be supported as it is really accurate (if someone is using ASN off course)... anyways, thanks for the info!
March 2, 201610 yr Alright found - for some reason navigraph wasn't updating it Got it fixed though | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
March 2, 201610 yr Hi Ron, Are you planning the same P3D treatment for the CJ1+ ? Are there any video's posted of the CJ1+ in action - searched YouTube - couldn't find any... The CJ1+ is on par with the CX as far as modeling goes - right - just not as popular ??? Thanks... Regards, Scott

John, sorry but we won't be doing it. The bright side is you can use the ASN Popup when the gauge is needed. Perhaps it's undockable for another monitor as well. Alright found - for some reason navigraph wasn't updating it Got it fixed though Glad to hear it Ryan. We'll have to see Scott. No plans at this time. Excellent. My favorite bird of all time. Ours too newtie
March 2, 201610 yr The chances of the Flight1 Mustang ever being released for P3D are about the same as me walking on Mars within the next two years......wearing only my boxer shorts......and no spacesuit. LOL Christopher !! Agreed  I cannot understand why they don't want to bring in all that $$$$ for a simple upgrade. Their servers would be overloaded on release day ! Right now I'm just tickled to death Eaglesoft has joined the party and our business jet future looks bright with Ron and his team bringing these beauties ( Citation X - Citation XLS+ - Challenger 650 ) Quote
March 2, 201610 yr Oh, Ron or Ed or ES.... FSUIPC. I'm one of the few FS veterans who never upgraded to the registered module. I remember the CX throttles not working so great without it (though I got along ok)... will the upcoming XLS require it too? I might finally buy it if that's the case. Actually... I'm having issues with the clickspots for the radio tuning unit... I can't change the frequencies either in the VC or 2d popup... anyone else seeing this? I think some clickspots in general won't work as well because I can't get the IRU's to quick align (if I recall it was select NAV then press the TEST buttons to quick align?)... nothing happens when I do this. edit again: nevermind I must be going crazy - this didn't work, then it did after I reloaded the default mooney then the CX again... But my PFD/MFD screens aren't lighting up....even after I clear the IRS messages. Yay for editing capability.... and I fixed it... as a heads up my dll.xml WAS NOT being edited, the hypergauge dll file WAS NOT being entered into my P3D dll.xml file - so I did that manually. In case this helps anyone Win7 P3D dll.xml located here C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v3 The text you have to add is this: <Launch.Addon> <Name>XMLTools3D</Name> <Disabled>False</Disabled> <ManualLoad>False</ManualLoad> <Path>XMLTools3D.dll</Path> <DllStartName>module_init</DllStartName> <DllStopName>module_deinit</DllStopName> </Launch.Addon> edit again (sigh): Looks like I'm not out the woods yet... 1) No FMS CDI on the PFD 2) FMS data doesn't seem to update in flight 3) No ETE/DIS values on the MFD in flight. 4) AP only flies to the first FMS fix then keeps on going the same heading lol - never goes to the next fix. But I am getting Mach .88 at FL350 - 570 kts over the ground! Fastest I've been in P3D (except military lol) No pilots ahhhh! (the popup gauge that controls this never worked for me even in FSX) | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
March 2, 201610 yr Ryan, none of that is happening on our end but we're glad you are working through it. The preflight gauge leaves load crew blank, check it and hit update to have the crew... Future projects will not have a reliance upon FSUIPC for proper FADEC operation. This one still does. It's a great tool to have in your FS Toobox. We suspect, some of this is related to your trouble with Navigraph Update..
