Ultimate Traffic 2 Prepar3D v3 & v4

Recommended Posts

It looks like I need to delete the assigned repaints, and then add them again.....for all of my UT2 airlines  I am starting to think that it would be better to simply dump UT2, and add all of the flightplans as BGL files.

Too late. Ultimate Traffic 2 has been uninstalled, and I am currently compiling all of my flightplans into BGL files. Curiously, I have caught a few more errors with this method.....

All of my flightplans have now been compiled as BGL files, and a quick check seems to indicate that AI planes are being displayed in the simulator  I have five more flightplans to add (for one reason or another), and then I can hopefully start flying again! I just hope that the planes behave themselves properly, because some of them in the past made somewhat unconventional approaches to runways (an issue that was effectively solved by integrating them into UT2). Maybe development of BGL flightplans (or the software that handles them) has been improved over the past two or three years?

On a side note, I suspect that Ultimate Traffic 2 has a limited shelf life anyway as far as P3D is concerned. The more legacy code Lockheed Martin pull out of the ESP foundation, the less likely it is that UT2 will run with future versions of the software.

One too many "\" between "Prepar3D v3" and "Flight One Software"?

My ut2 is better than ever, Ive spent the last week updating a few things. A few airlines have wrong names.

Djibouti airlines is Norwegian

And the rebrand of sata and jat ti azores and air Serbia isn't there

Alot of the 787s need to be assigned

And latam needs to be corrected.

Its nice to see Westjet at lgw and eurowings too

Cheers

Converting all of my flightplans to BGL format was quite enlightening. There must have been at least six or seven with errors, so it's possible that some airlines and/or planes were not being displayed when they were in UT2 format. I also took the opprtunity to update my Easyjet, Monarch and Thomas Cook repaints. I was surprised to see that Monarch only have A320s and A321s these days...

Instead of each person doing this.. Would it be possible to upload a file and share? I mean Data file. Loading these liveries are kind of painful right?

I didn't realise that Westjet had started flying to Gatwick. I may have to update those flightplans aswell.

+1

Also where to put the files and what they do?

Regarding UT2 in P3d....

I recently saw that P3d has two places where SimObjects are stored;

1.E:\P3d\SimObjects\UT2 Aircraft

and

2. C:\Users\herky\AppData\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v3\SimObjects

After the UT2 install, the second SimObjects has no UT2 aircraft. The folders are there, but they are all empty? So I copied the UT2 SimObjects, UT2 aircraft over to (2).

I have no idea if this will display more of the aircraft repaints? But it all seems to work fine now.....

Regards

David
