Ultimate Traffic 2 Prepar3D v3 & v4

Featured Replies

UT2 does not include military AI traffic. I use traffic BGL files from MAIW for military aircraft.

I guess I have to get the UT2 interface working before I can try that.

  • Author

Were going to try 2 things,  If the first one doesn't work we will do a repair on your UT2 files and folders

Ok that didn't work,  We will have one more craic at it....

A clean up and Repair

Please Note:  Step one (1) is designed for nels161 and nels161 only because i gave him instructions earlier in the thread and now i would like to Undo these.

(1)   Important  Entry your Register editor  and remove the Pathway= to Prepar3D in your 2 Microsoft games keys,

        HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft Microsoft Games \ Flight Simulator \ 10   Delete your Path= to Prepar3D   "Value data"

        HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE Wow6432Node \ MicrosoftMicrosoft Games \ Flight Simulator \ 10  Delete your Path= to Prepar3D  "Value data"

(2)   Go here and Delete the Ultimate Traffic 2 folder   (C:) ► Users ► Nelson ► AppData ► Roaming ►Flight One Software Ultimate Traffic 2

(3)  Ultimate Traffic 2 depends one 1 Simmconnect.msi file to function correctly Version 10.0.61259.0  Location:  Prepar3D v3 ► redist ► Interface ► FSX-SP2-XPACK ► retail ► lib  Simconnect.msi    Right Click and Install

On a side Note:  This is the same simmconnect.msi that will cause a (Smartassemble error)  if it is Missing or corrupt

(4)   Be sure to either Completely disable your Anti virus Software or add the Installer to your Exclusions Zone,  Also turn off your UAC  User account control

(5)  Now Run the UT2 Installer again,  Go to  (C:) ► Flight One Software,    Right Click on  UT2_Setup-2.09.exe  and Run as administrator.

Running the UT2 Installer again will Not effect your exe.xml file or your Ultimate Traffic 2 folder in Prepar3D v3 all it will do is "Hopefully" repair and replace any missing or damaged files.

(6)   Make sure you are running Prepar3D as Administrator and UT2  Post #280

============================

After you do this.

Go here    AppData ► Roaming ►Flight One Software ► Ultimate Traffic 2   Right Click on UT2Settings.cfg  "Open with Note pad"

Copy and Paste this into it,  This is exactly what it should say for Your path=   Click Save.

[Main]
FSX cfg File Location =C:\Users\Nelson\AppData\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v3\Prepar3D.cfg
FSX Location=C:\Prepar3D v3

Like i said earlier,  You might still have an error, (Come back to this later)  But your UT2 Control Panel should look Normal

Try that..........

Hi Interface screen shots are the same as in Post 301 and 287 after I did what you asked me to do. Any other ideas?

It's just the UT2 interface that doesn't work , all else appears to be good.

InvalidArgument Error.

You Need to Change This SimObjectPaths.1=SimObjects\UT2 Aircraft

To this SimObjectPaths.0=SimObjects\UT2 Aircraft

SimObjectPaths.0=SimObjects\UT2 Aircraft

Hi Elaine,

I installed UT2 as per your instructions...Very carefully!

It does appear to work just fine,  but I get the "Program Error" Invalidargument=Value of '0' is not valid, when I open the UT2 Control Panel?

I have the correct parameter=0 in the Simobjects paths file, so I don't know where the error is originating?

UT2 works despite the error? Also the Control Panel works after I click on "OK" on the Error box?

Thanks for this thread, without which I would not have bought UT2!

Regards

David

Hi all,

I can vow for Estonia Migration Tool. You just enable P3Dv3 and UT2 will install into P3D directory. It works flawlessly imho.

However you have to pay for it! But it does not cost that much (a bit over 12 euro's) and it even lets you migrate your default aircraft from FSX to P3D. Which is also cool.

And now, the end is near, And so I face the final curtain   ♪

Neslon,  I'm afraid this one has me stumped altogether,  You could try to Uninstall and Reinstall UT2 (Maybe you have a Corrupt file in your Ultimate Traffic 2 folder in Prepar3D v3 folder)

Uninstall UT2 and Reinstall again.

Apart from that we are at a Brick Wall.

Hello David

Hi Elaine, can't even uninstall the program, that should tell you something..

Sounds like a registry cleanup is required.

Elaine, all sorted (I think!) no error codes.

Went over all the instructions again and I believe it was my typo!! Since I can't spell, even after 60 years and a professional career, I still can't type properly:-) or maybe its my eyesight?:-)

Now....where are the crowded skies? With UT2 traffic at 90% I am seeing a quiet Zurich airport, two take offs in 20 minutes, perhaps they were all at church? Southampton was only populated with the Orbx static aircraft, nothing taking off or landing?

I installed the Power Play and managed to get a couple of new flight plans installed, but I could not see the aircraft undertaking my plans?

I am using the default UT2 schedules, but my date and time in the simulator is today. I don't know if that would make any difference?

This is an interesting program, now I am free of error codes, its down to myself to work out how it works!

However, I thank you once again for your excellent install guide, I had a most enjoyable Sunday!!:-)

Best regards

David

David,

I have built up the UK airline schedules over several years, and have recently decided to update "a few" of them, since some date back to Winter 2012-2013. When I say "a few", I mean between 60 and 70!! It will take a fair amount of time to do if I want to integrate all of those updated schedules into UT2, since I use completely new models (not the UT2 ones), and therefore have to add them all via PowerPack, build the flightplans for each airline, and then assign all of those repaints!!
