Ultimate Traffic 2 Prepar3D v3 & v4

Featured Replies

Yes strange alright,   I guess once your 100% sure you are seeing UT2 Traffic and its Not Default P3D traffic ?

It is definetly  Ultimate traffic for sure

Your speakers are turned on and your sound card is configured to the device your using for sound Yes ?

Yes speakers ok, have sound in P3d, also if I  play that file with the music in the ultimate traffic 2 folder I can hear it playing but not when P3D boots

You see the UT2 Tab in-game in Prepar3D Yes?

Yes I do

Ok 2 things............

Your UT2 Control Panel is Installed and Control through this folder location,  It Also has the Music file in it  Red box  ♪♪♪

And if this folder is corrupt it would also explain why your Control Panel looks like it been dragged through a bush backwards.

Go here and give me a screen shot of that folder.     Local Disk (C:) ► Users ► You► AppData ► Roaming ►Flight One Software ► Ultimate Traffic 2

This is what a healthy UT2 location Control Panel looks like  UT2 2.09

Ok Elaine, finally I got the exe.eml file you sent, pasted it in the dir and ran P3d. After about 30 sec the music and message played  VICTORY at last

Sill can't get into the control panel.

Thanks

Very good Nelson.  Yes the 'Post  #295 is exactly what Your exe.xml should look like.  I thought you had done this already and you were still having problems with sound,  So yes we have a result that was the reason.

Your UT2 Control Panel and why it looks messed up

Were going to try 2 things,  If the first one doesn't work we will do a repair on your UT2 files and folders.

First Fix........

Go here    AppData ► Roaming ►Flight One Software Ultimate Traffic 2   Right Click on UT2Settings.cfg  "Open with Note pad"

Is it all messed up there what does it say ?

Copy and Paste this into it,  This is exactly what it should say for Your path=   Click Save.

[Main]
FSX cfg File Location =C:\Users\Nelson\AppData\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v3\Prepar3D.cfg
FSX Location=C:\Prepar3D v3

You will probably get one maybe 2 errors when opening your UT2 Control Panel BUT when it opens it should look OK

Try that and if it works we will work on the errors.

Good morning Elaine did what you said to  do. The only difference was that mine had fsx.cfg at the end of the first line so deleted and pasted the one you sent me. Just so I know I am doing the right thing where do you click  to open the conrol panel. Still messed up and getting all the errors, can't input any information on the final  or main screen..

There is definitely something amiss on your PC, Nelson. You seem to have a whacking great "X" on the left side of the UT2 window, where in fact there should be a list of options.

Yes Chris I see that. I just did a couple of flights and there is lots of traffic and the options do work inside of P3D, stop/start traffic, increase/decrease are all working. Do you start the UT2 window from the .exe file ??

Nelson

I have a desktop icon for starting the UT2 utility, and also a PowerPack icon.

What is this power pack if you don't mind me asking

Nelson

It is a utility for adding new airline schedules and AI models. I have used it extensively over the past few years to update the airlines that fly to and from the UK and Ireland, and also add a lot of additional ones (including cargo airlines, which are almost non existent in the default UT2 database).
