Brighter terrain, darker cloud shadows - DONE!

Is it possible to make even darker clouds shadows ? I mean to go less then 0.1 to negtive ?

Why do you want to go to such extremes? :) Even at 0.1, terrain shadows are pitch black, even on my bright setup. Of course it depends on altitude and visibility, but I think that 0.1 is too much in most situations. I plan to include 0.2 as the lowest value you can choose in the config tool (strong preset).

Current system: ASUS PRIME Z690-P D4, Intel 12900k, 32GB RAM @ 3600mhz, Zotac RTX 3090 Trinity, M2 SSD, Oculus Quest 2.

It is great. However, in some VC's the windscreen are bright and sometimes i cant even notice when i am under cloud.

It would be cool if you can post example screenshot.  But as I said, cloud shadow darkness/intensity depends directly of various stuff, like visibility, hdr settings (higher bloom setting will cause more contrast), and even windscreen (cockpit reflection and transparency). Most users are having shadows at 0.5 or even at 0.75. I'm settled at 0.2 and sometimes I experience same "issues" as you.

the only reason i put my bloom kinda high is because when using the shaders pack i noticed that my clouds looks weird combined different colors  (white, kinda black, brown...) and i am using default clouds. So the bloom actually disguise it to white again.

Did you installed cloud.fx from the package or using original? Try using original cloud.fx with original or REX clouds.

I will include version with normal white clouds during the day, and dark during night. :)

Only children think clouds are white (and simmers need to look out of the window now and then)   :P

Great work Pe11e, I look forward to seeing what you compiled and tweaked. I think P3D will never have looked so good.

Stupid question, can I use this with REX4 and Reshade?

Yes no problem doing that

Hey!

I've been following this thread, but now I am kind of lost...

Where can I get the latest files? The Dropbox link shows as being 9 days old, so what changes does it include that were talked about in the last 4 pages?

Rich keeps saying the mod is not quite finalised, but what parts? Do the files provided in the dropbox link still require autogen shadows to be enabled?

What I am interested in are scattering, darker cloud shadows, and the changed sky textures...

Cheers
