but the knobs,

buttons, and dials are in awkward places..

 

Oh, ok, I understand what you mean, it`s indeed a bit quirky :-). Makes it somewhat unique though.

How can get max RPM on the ground?

 

I've been filing CRQ SDM for 13 years and in 99% of the time have never got TEC published route :)

There is no route I see between CRQ and SDM - that's probably why you never get assigned one :)

There is no route I see between CRQ and SDM - that's probably why you never get assigned one :)

I'm not sure what that means...  but I'm making the point that the reason you don't get a TEC route is because there is not one published from Palomar to Brown.  Many other airport pairs have published TEC routes and you're more than likely to receive the routing.

He means max RPM you can achieve on the ground, At proper Mixture rpm will be higher than it would too lean or too rich.

If you file and ask TEC from CRQ to SDM they will give it to you, but they seldom stick to initial clearance limit.
