Has anyone moved from FSX to Xplane?

Featured Replies

Please follow their posts better. Project X was abandoned right after being announced due to some "technical" trouble, read JV could not digest Austin Meyer's comments on Facebook.

Sorry my friend, but you need to read into what John V stated on the ORBX forums.  Long story short, they incurred issues with their scenery (not to mention wasted time and effort) in XP so they dropped the project:

False,

This has nothing to do with technical issues with their scenery. What ORBX does has already been done in X-plane. This fiasco was purely marketing hog-wash. Look at all limitations FSX had but developers still found a way to do it. Nobody is going to buy hundreds of dollars in scenery for a simulator that already looks great. Don't believe everything a developer tells you; their business people.

Either WT3 or X-Life will offer a valid alternative to Ultimate Traffic in some months.

We'll lack multiple study level heavies and a native ATC addon not developed for FSX and ported to XP but it really depends on user's claim, I'm not for example a user pretending perfect real life procedures on liners as long as the aircraft is enough complex and demanding. IXEG, 752 V2 and ATS MD82 are enough for next year until PMDG decided eventually to port their 737 ot 777

Let's please try to keep the opinions to a minimum here.  I was only reiterating what was stated on ORBX's forum, as the post I quoted was misleading and the member seemed convinced the project was happening.

If PMDG brings aircraft to X-plane and price it like they do for P3D because it's a changing platform, then I won't have any interest in their stuff. Flight Factor, JAR, FlyJsim, and a few others are making addons that fit the level of detail that I need for half the price.

Oh, good. so no more opinions on the forum people...just reiterate garbage.

False

Why is it false Jim? Boomer said that XP can't give him the immersion that he enjoys in P3D, so why would you say it's false?

I will instead. And many others as well.

I have the 737 for FSX but honestly I don't expect any discount buying it again for XP.

Because he is an X Plane internet warrior, who's posts do more to damage the platform than do it good.

Its sad, juvenile, pathetic garbage and does no good to the thing you seemingly like rototom, but I don't suppose you will stop these s**t posts, which only serve to drive folks away :fool:

And, with those comments, I think it is best to close this topic as it has gone far away from the OP and the title.
