New SP1 ASCA features look enticing. I'm in!

I see. But that only concerns my remark that ASCA is always using one texture set:

Yes.

I gave in and bought AS2016 but didn't buy the cloud art yet. I have rex soft clouds which many people seem to still prefer. I didn't bother with the free trial of AS2016. I had ASN so I was buying the upgrade and it was on sale to start with plus & had a $5 coupon so it cost like $16. I figured I'd jump in with both feet since that is the case and ran it with rex soft clouds. I just did a quick flight in a rain/hail storm using one of the default fighters. It certainly felt like more of an improvement when passing through cloud cover etc. I'll have to do some flights with my fslabs airbus or maybe break out the pmdg 737ngx to see how the weather feels.

Any ETA on the SP? Would be nice to test some open beta over the weekend... :Tounge:

Looking forward to all the improvements, keep up the great work!

I had my first experience of "flying thru the moving clouds" yesterday. Caught me off guard it was immersive.

What are you using for cloud textures?

What do you download?  Just the top items for AS16 ande ASCA or the hotfixes?  Both?

Hi Gregg,

Download and install the "Beta Update" - Build 6157 for either FSX or Prepar3D and the "Beta Update" - Build 6157 for ASCA.  There is an optional HD content update that includes 4096 textures.

Thanks...got it.  I don't use high resolution textures so I don't need those.  There's still those cotton ball clouds but it does seem to look better.
