December 27, 200520 yr Is there a tool that will tell you how hard or soft your landings are?Something freeware would be great. Thanks!Brad
December 27, 200520 yr The default Extra 300 has a G-Force gauge - you might try adding that to your panel.I don't know if it has a record capability. All aircraft have an "Impact Damage Threshold" setting in the contact points for the gear. This is the maximum "hard" landing hte aircraft will take before crashing. For the default B777-300 the numbers are:1181.1 - Feet per minute - nose gear1574.8 - Feet per minute - main gearFSUPIC might read a parameter which you could log.
December 27, 200520 yr FS Flightkeeper gives you this and much much more. Not freeware but worth the price if you like to evaluate and review performance. Even rates your landings!
December 27, 200520 yr Well, the MSFS crash detection does in a pass/fail sort of way... ;-)CheersBob ScottATP IMEL Gulfstream II-III-IV-V L-300Santiago de Chile Bob Scott | President and CEO, AVSIM Inc ATP Gulfstream II-III-IV-V Sys1 (MSFS20+24/XPlane12+11): AMD 9800X3D, water 2x240mm, MSI MPG X670E Carbon, 64GB GSkill 6000/30, nVidia RTX4090FE Alienware AW3821DW 38" 21:9 GSync, 2x4TB Crucial T705 PCIe5 + 2x2TB Samsung 990 SSD, EVGA 1000P2 PSU, 12.9" iPad Pro Thrustmaster TCA Boeing Yoke, TCA Airbus Sidestick, Twin TCA Airbus Throttle quads, PFC Cirrus Pedals, Coolermaster HAF932 case Sys2 (P3Dv5/v4): i9-13900KS, water 2x360mm, ASUS Z790 Hero, 32GB GSkill 7800MHz CAS36, ASUS RTX4090 Samsung 55" JS8500 4K TV@60Hz, 3x 2TB WD SN850X 1x 4TB Crucial P3 M.2 NVME SSD, EVGA 1600T2 PSU Fiber link to Yamaha RX-V467 Home Theater Receiver, Polk/Klipsch 6" bookshelf speakers, Polk 12" subwoofer, 12.9" iPad Pro PFC yoke/throttle quad/pedals with custom Hall sensor retrofit, Thermaltake View 71 case, Stream Deck XL button box Sys3 (DCS/P3Dv4/ATS/ETS): AMD 7800X3D, MSI MPG X870E Carbon, Noctua NH-D15S, 64GB GSkill 6000/30, EVGA RTX3090 Alienware AW3420DW 34" 21:9 GSync, Corsair HX1000i PSU, 4TB Crucial T705 PCIe5 + 2TB Samsung 970Evo Plus, TM TCA Officer Pack, Saitek combat pedals, TM Warthog, TM RS300 FF wheel/pedals, Coolermaster HAF XB case

December 27, 200520 yr Hi there,FSFDT has a program within FSCopilot that can be found at:http://www.mcdu.com/en/fscopilot.phpIt looks like the picture that I have included here and should show you a fair bit about your landing as well a some info about your flight as well. I hope that this is something like you were looking for.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/136872.jpgFirst pic is while on final and second pic is while on the brakes after touchdownTonyP IV 3.0 HT1 GB@400MHzWD 160 GB HD WD 60 GB HDATI X850ProSaitek X45
December 28, 200520 yr FS Passengers does this. Also, you can replay and watch your vertical speed indicator. Works for me, appears to provide valid results.
December 28, 200520 yr RunwayRoll.zip, here on Avsim, gives you that and more. Freeware.http://library.avsim.net/sendfile.php?Loca...e&ImageID=97686* orest Orest Skrypuch President & CEO, UVA www.united-virtual.com
December 28, 200520 yr How soft you need to land also depends on the aircraft, greasing a 737 on the runway generally isn't considered good practice as it'll tend to float a ways beyond the point you ideally want touchdown at.----------------------------------------------------------------John MorganReal World: KGEG, UND Aerospace Spokane Satillite, Private ASEL 141.2 hrs, 314 landings, 46 inst. apprs.Virtual: MSFS 2004"There is a feeling about an airport that no other piece of ground can have. December 28, 200520 yr "For the default B777-300 the numbers are:1181.1 - Feet per minute - nose gear1574.8 - Feet per minute - main gear"Presumably these are FS values. Does anyone know what the real world values are? I mean the values that require to aircraft to be inspected and checked. Gerry Howard
