P3D v4 Hyper-Threading

Recommended Posts

Hello Guys,

I wonder if due to the fact that VAS is not a problem anymore, would it better to turn HT on? In the past, everybody recommended to turn HT off to save some VAS...

I am curious about your opinions.

Best,

Arek

Beta tester turned HT on, speaking of multi-core performance, some people say it's working while some people don't...

As there is no neey to save a few mb of vas anymore i aso have it on.

Quite impressive to se that v4 uses all 12 threads of my cpu with nearly 100 %

Hi!

I've read on other forums that it's better to avoid HT if your CPU is overclocked, or not ?

Anyway as for V3, I don't understand why LM devs don't write a guide on how to obtain the best performance with their product, in particular all special parameters inside, for example, the prepar3d.cfg file, but we often read these kind of changes by beta testers and other external people.

Ok, I know that each of us have different hardware configuration, but some "official" advice would be much appreciated, imho... Who better than a developer who creates the software can know how it works?

Regards, Max

You can't overclock as much as you can wit HT off. In my case I could go until 5.0 GHz w/o HT. With HT on, I "only" reached 4.875 or 4.750 GHz.

They did and it is accessed directly in the sim.

Oh good to know! Thanks!

So I wonder why some beta testers sometimes find new cheats which aren't written inside this guide
