My two pence worth owning every PMDG aircraft and the FSL A320 is that they are both supremely well simulated. Whilst the FSL is very well simulated it's very heavy on system performance, even in it's 64-bit release, it also managed to set a new record for the price, i REALLY don't think we should be encouraging price inflation within the hobby. OP - I am sure that you would be happy with any of the aircraft mentioned and it is down to you how you think you will fly. May i add another suggestion OP, have you looked at the Majestic Q400? It's got an exceptionally light foot print on my system and it's system heavy, as good as the FSL and the PMDG. Although I do think it's unfair to say this just to FSlabs.. The 777 is only $6 cheaper so..
October 22, 20178 yr I choose the PMDG 777, since its my favorite plane as of the moment. I use it for all types of flying, short, medium and long. That's how much I love it. As for the FSLabs A320. I will eventually get that too since it's another plane I'm interested in. So if you’re a heavy 3rd party airport flyer, you may get more manageable performance from the 777. I get very good performance with the PMDG birds, but at 3rd party airports am 10-20 FPS in the A320 I get around 25 FPS in 4K in the FSL A320 at Flightbeam KSFO with Orbx SC and AS. It takes about the same hit on performance as the PMDG birds IMO. I have a 7700K and GTX 1080 Pete Richards I've owned every version of flight simulator since Flight Simulator 3.0 in 1988. However, the FSL Airbus is by far the most advanced and high-end aircraft the simming world has ever seen... No other a/c comes close. (Nope, no one) Cheers. The PMDG and BOEING only guys are going to love you! I guess the truth hurts. It is a fabulous product. Imagine if the A320X didn't cost $120 but instead cost $10 a month and once you stop paying, it gets deactivated. The way things are going it's more a 'when' than 'if' question. Yes absolutely true, a worry for me as well. I think if / when that day comes i will exit the hobby, or at least stick with what i have. Ian R Tyldesley
