Did i miss something? Is Level-D developing a 757?

Head over to the Level D forum, you'll see the mod getting angry at people who don't believe that this thing is about to be released. I refer, by the way, to threads from sometime last decade...

There are some devs who you get excited when they make promises, Level D have strung this out for so long now that until you have a working sim in your hands, I would not get your hopes up!

Edit: I didn't see the comment above from a forum member who had actually seen this plane. In action. Well, that is almost promising! I think I gave up on ever seeing this aircraft about 5 years ago. You never know, maybe the 757 will grace v4 after all.

Comment from previous poster suggests that - omg - this may not actuallly be the vapourware that I suspected. Hurrah!

Well if you saw it at FSC, then do provide some details?  Did you talk to a developer, did they show more of the VC or exterior? Was it a flying model? Funny how all those people and reviewers who attended FSC and the only photos are the same ones posted by AirDailyX. Funny how a plane that was suppose to be 80% complete almost 6 months ago still remains a  mystery.

Well, I checked the level d forums.

someone asked if 767 would work in v4 - no, it works in v3.4 (lol), thread locked.

thread on 757 - not very positive (FS9) Daryl: EARLY beta means EARLY. Thread locked.

my take: duke nukem forever did eventually get released. So it's possible. I would not be holding my breath for a 64 bit version. I'd put my money on a 32-bit version before 2020.

Flight1 had a booth at FlightSimCon. I saw it operate and indeed at that time it was P3dV3. personally I did not fly it but I was right up alongside a couple people who were. What I saw was an aircraft that worked good and looked good. Keep in mind it was/is a work in progress. As I mentioned I'm impressed with what I saw and will buy when it comes to market. As to it being a mystery - there is no mystery. When it's ready level D will release it. Based on their B767 which I still think is a fine aircraft even today I have no doubt the B757 will also be a fine creation.

Captain Sim, meanwhile, has posted a 757/767 MCP picture on their facebook page.

They have new members on their team, i just hope whichever model that is it comes out good. Their models and texturing are incredible, i'm hoping for "above medium level" and somewhat accurate systems. Their previous 767 was really really nice.

Sweet! Didnt see this coming and their p3d v4 updates list didnt mention a 767/57 but the pictures clue in to one of the two. Cant believe no one has jumped on this massive gap in the modern day flight simming other than the FF for XP ones.  Such a huge opportunity and lots would be a potential customer for these two aircraft.  Just hope its of decent quality and not full of bugs.  As in newly developed 757/67 rather than just a port with some updated pretty graphic textures.

Yikes those pics look good!!!!!

CS uploaded a new photo today. Still hard to tell if it's a 757 or 767.

It would be nice if they released it before the real-world 757 was pulled from service.
