Same here, but it is exciting nonetheless to see them confirm our guesses.
December 21, 20178 yr As far as I can see, and whenever it happens, will be MAX (because he hinted), than 787 and if it happens, but should be other way around, considering that MAX will use 787 logic (cockpit, etc), but...who knows. Whole world is running on some kind speculation these days. Will be available whenever becomes available and we will be patient....For PMDG product and quality I will wait as long as it takes. It would be wrong to think that PMDG will "stop" making new add-ons, so.... Alex
December 21, 20178 yr Is this really the route pmdg are going? Are they just going to keep updating the 737, 747, 777 line? I never thought I'd say this but another 737 is quite boring....the current ngx is still fairly good. The 757, 767 would habe been a better surprise. Oh well.... FAA: ATP-ME, 737 CA, enough time in the 757/767 to be dangerous 🤠 Matt Kubanda, 7950X3D, 64GB RAM, RTX 5090@4k, MSFS 2024

So the -8 will have a variant of one of the 787’s engines and the Max will have, as you stated, a lot of things from the 787. Next logical step should be the 787 as they essentially already have one engine variant simulated as well as some of the cockpit as well as some system logic. The 787 is such a complex airplane so breaking some of it down like this while making a profit seems like a good idea to me. It will be an interesting next couple of years, that’s for sure!

To be fair, the 737, 777, and 747 have all been upgraded to new versions in real life since the original PMDG releases. So it makes sense, especially with how popular these planes have been in the sim. Plus, QW already has what I understand to be a good 787 which will be released for P3D sometime, and there are other companies making 757 and 767 models. It makes good business sense for them to keep working the market they've cornered. ...and maybe bring back the MD-11 ;) Connor Pack, United States P3Dv4, ORBX, FS2Crew, GSX, Active Sky v4 + ASCA, PMDG 737, Navigraph Charts + Data, TOPCAT, PFPX, UTLive, FSFX Packages, Flightbeam Airports.
