Brendon Powys

is this scenery still happening

Brendon Powys

@South World Scenery

Almost a year after it was expected to be released. I hope that this is still in progress, but I've lost some interest in it. If Orbx OLC Africa releases first, I'll buy another African airport instead and forget about SWS' FAOR.

I'm not going to hold out indefinitely for a product that might not ever become available.

AMD Ryzen 5800X3D; MSI RTX 3080 Ti ; 32GB Corsair 3200 MHz; ASUS VG35VQ 35" (3440 x 1440)
Fulcrum One yoke; Thrustmaster TCA Captain Pack Airbus edition; MFG Crosswind rudder pedals; miniCockpit FCU; CPFlight MCP 737; Logitech FIP x3; TrackIR

MSFS; Fenix A320; A2A PA-24; HPG H145; PMDG 737-600; AIG; RealTraffic; PSXTraffic; FSiPanel; REX AccuSeason Adv; FSDT GSX Pro; FS2Crew RAAS Pro; FS-ATC Chatter

Looks that way. That's a shame, but not exactly unexpected.
FAOR release date consistently delayed, then a promised freeware Cape peninsula photoscenery also promised, but then nothing since August.

Oh well, MSFS next year will hopefully right some of the wrongs of missing South Africa scenery.

Can't Justsim do it, I mean aerosoft once said they where doing it, that's normally enough for justsim to panic and scrub one out, or the guy with his animal shelter scenery

Thats a shame i was really looking forward to this 1 .

Such a shame! The scenery was looking very good. I hope they will resurface at some point, but I won't hold my breath. At least we have Gaffer Sim's rendition - better than nothing.

Looks like SWS is up and running again on their Facebook page with more pictures of upcoming FAOR...Good news, I hope.

A freeware version is being done by the developer 'Rouwei'. You can search for the 'King Shaka International Airport (Durban)' WIP thread on the FSDeveloper Showroom forum.

Save yourselves €17 and wait for the freeware version of FALE instead. It will be of a better quality than the NMG one.

Looking forward to more preview shots and the release date announcement!

Actually only 12 Euros. So irrespective of the fact that it does not have PBR, still good value.

The quality of the Rouwei version doesn't look too brilliant at the moment.IMHO.

Intel i7 6700K @4.3. 32gb Gskill 3200 RAM. Z170x Gigabyte m/b. 28" LG HD monitor. Win 10 Home. 500g Samsung 960 as Windows home. 1 Gb Mushkin SSD for P3D. GTX 1080 8gb.
