Weather at arrival

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

I have the following problem:

I started at EDDM down to LPMA. I had clouds at Munich... arriving at LPMA I see no clouds, so I check the ASN App -> Thunderstorms and it says "Connected to P3D".

I also have winds... but totally clear skies. No thunderstorm at all. So I closed P3D and reloaded at LPMA -> big fast thunderstorm.

This is the second time I am missing weather at the destination airport :-( Someone got an idea?

Greetings

I've noticed somewhat similar discrepancies. I can't remember if it was at the arrival airport or departure. Or both...

Check your settings that you are not forcing destination weather. Can't recall which setting off hand. Also, did you just try refresh weather in ASP4 when nearing destination? You might not have had an update. Also, if you have a flight plan loaded, tune 122.025 on COM1 and you'll get destination weather - that's an easy way to verify destination weather report.

I had this problem a while ago.

Check your cloud draw distance setting in ASN. I believe anything above 150nm will cause this issue.

I also have/had this and i just reloaded ASP4 . I also had it with earlier versions for FSX and P3Dv2/3.

Simconnect thing maybe ?

Thanks

The funny thing is: I never experienced this before. I Wasn it flying for some weeks and did. It change anything.

But suddenly I have this problem. I will check the AS16 settings. Thanks for the hint with the radio and stuff. Will check this tonight.

Check that it is in live weather mode not static mode.  Sometimes if it loses connectivity, it switches to static mode then doesn’t switch back.  Happened to me last night.

And sometimes, you can forget to switch it back to live mode.  :)
