Nobody has tried it? Unfortunately it´s stuttering on my system. But it´s interesting...

Thanks for mentioning. I bought it and will try it over the weekend. I am perplexed none of the news sites like FSElite - whom I informed about the planned release days ago - took notice.

Perhaps the FSW story learned them never ever to support any sim outside the ESP/XP realm.

Kind regards, Michael

I already have a fully stacked XP11, DCS and P3Dv4 that are expensive enough to maintain. All of them cover a particular niche for me and VR support is very good already. Those screenshots have not convinced me to purchase yet another sim, unfortunately.

I'm messing with the demo. It really drives home how hard it must be to create a flight simulator, especially one that has to pass muster with the existing community. Anyonyone crazy enough to try, has my sympathies!

Are you trying it in VR?

Its slightly more impressive in vr. Kind of reminds me of FS9/FSX

I wonder if this is a new sim, or a knockoff of the freeware sim that has happened before?  It looks so similar to FlightGear from the screenshots...

This is meant to be a VR-first sim and not a direct competition to P3D/XP11 in 2D.

No.

There are some anomalies like trees in the water:

From what i know their goal is to make a simulator optimized for VR since is their core business, but i doubt they are going to have success, competing with X-plane and P3D is one Davi against 2 Golias.

Downloaded demo and tried for 2x6 minutes in VR. Very smooth, textures not very polished. Once frozed in VR,  on monitor was functioning fine on the same time. Still very fresh and new.

Night lighting over the city was pleasant for me.

The fact that at high speed with the 737 the rudder have full effect on the plane, well, not so happy about that 🙂 It gives me a lot of old fsx vibes in a way.

In my opinion so far, where this is very good is where flyinside has always been good: A thoughtful and well laid out interface. As far as in-game graphics, I'm thinking FS9.

The clouds are nice, appear volumetric and are non rotating. Buildings have no shadows, and the demo has a noticeable dearth of trees..... as in, pretty much none.

Vr is adequate but not fast enough to accommodate higher antialiasing without artifacts/stutters on my 2080ti,

CPU dependant?

I might grab it just because...... But I'm not sure.
