November 13, 20187 yr The monitor resolution is 2560x1440. Have you tried deleting the "preferences" folder inside the "output" folder? Maybe you have some conflict when going from one version to another. Edited November 13, 20187 yr by nikit

November 17, 20187 yr I like to try to make an objective apples to apples comparison between point release of Flight Sim. I did this often when I used P3D but this is the first time I've tried it with X-Plane. Granted its not a vanilla comparison between 11.26 and 11.30b4 because I have a whole bunch of freeware addons installed and I guess that compatibility issues might be at the root of the differences evident in the video. When I did this last with P3D V4.2 and V4.3 the result showed virtually no difference between the version on my PC. Not so with X-Plane. Maybe so of you can offer some insight as to why the difference in appearance and frame rate in favour of 11.26. The video was made with a file that was recorded in 11.26 and the same setting in both version. In fact I updated the X-plane and this is the first thing I've done so nothing was changed by me between one version and the other:
November 17, 20187 yr The only valid comparison is stock 11.26 vs stock 11.30. And any add-on altering the shaders, e.g. for sky or water rendering, will not work in 11.30. 7950X3D + 7900 XT + 64 GB + Linux | 4800H + RTX2060 + 32 GB + Linux My add-ons from my FS9/FSX days
