>regards>>EdI don't understand. My 2d views work on the Baron and the Spartan I added on. Is this just in the demo?

So any view that is not from within the 3d pit is now not available aprt from the standard forward view?I think that's going to put a lot of people out and is a major omission if so.I assume instrument views, e.g. overhead, fmc, throttle quadrant etc are still available and not restricted in some way to the pre-set 3d pit view as they are in the demo. That would be something else to cause a major problem with the photo realistic panels etc.

I assume radios, pedestal, gps etc etc will be available as they are still to all intents and purposes part of the forward view. Plus of course they are useful for pop ups in unreadable and stuttertastic VC's!But anything else like Forward_Up view (which I use for my VFR (landing views)) or the side views (like my very popular photoreal Airbus side views) ...or in fact any of my photoreal panels will not work!. I am sooooo angry I have to be careful what I say! ....All I wanted from FSX was a useable EPR code! :-hah

WideView users are going to be p'd too.

Well this news really sucks big time! Considering the ammount of people still using 2D panels, you would think they would leave this function in.

Considering the ammount>of people still using 2D panels, you would think they would>leave this function in.It reminds me that it's too bad we don't have knobs to change channels on the TV anymore. I haven't known what to do with my vise grips since they removed that "feature". P.S. You have to be at least 30 years old to understand what I'm talking about! :)

I am well over 30 years old! ...thankyou for reminding me! :-lol...are you suggesting that 2D panels are old hat :-hmmmI suggest you have a look at some of my vids! :-hah....it's all about freedom of choice. I never have a go or dig at VC lovers ...but I could very easily! ;)

Well Carmine, I'm 50, and I do not miss having knobs on my TV. I do like the fact that we have colour TV now, and more than 3 chanels!I sort of have a small version of a home cockpit. I have a Dell 24" as my main screen sitting on top of the desk at eye level. I have made my own computer desk that has a 19" CRT mounted underneath at a 20 degree angle, much like the dashboard of a car. I make my own 2D panels, and have all my main gauges and GPS on a custom panel on the bottom monitor that is undocked from the main. I have a slide out tray in front of the bottom monitor for my yoke, and a slide out tray for my CH Throttle on the left side. A slide out tray on the right for maps etc..I make a cut off version of a standard 2D panel that has the window frame, a small portion of the top of the panel, and part of the overhead. This panel is on the top monitor in the main 2D view. I make 2D panels of the other cockpit views. I am really going to miss this option in FSX! There is no perspective when you look out the sides without some sort of 2D bmp panel.

>No.OMG! Apparently the baby has been thrown out with the bathwater! And in this instance I cannot say it's good thing.:(

Hey Guys, I think it's bad sometimes that things change for reason's unknown to us. I'm sure there will be "another way" to get these setups to work for you guys. If not, then I'm sorry that they did this since it adds so much to your personal experiences. Let's hope for the best for us all. >I am well over 30 years old! ...thankyou for reminding me!>:-lol>>...are you suggesting that 2D panels are old hat :-hmmm>>I suggest you have a look at some of my vids! :-hah>>....it's all about freedom of choice.
