The Falcon 50 V1.8 Beta Available

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I did try in KSFO.

Tested 115.80 on nav 1 and nav 2. Both yellow and green RMI's point as they should.

ADF 379.0  and 249.0 They both work after pressing the buttons on the RMI to ADF.

And yes I needed to be in the air to see the ADF RMI working. Sitting on the runway did not work for ADFs but did work for the VORs.

RMI VOR or ADF worked in both VLOC and GPS mode..

I do not what happent yesterday. my mistake !

Thanks for your help

The sound changes are great!  The wheel sound really adds to the takeoff/landing experience.

One question about sounds.  The APU sound is still pretty evident in the cockpit.  Is that how it's supposed to be?  I noticed the engines are quieter in the cockpit, and wonder if the APU is supposed to be quieter, too?  Or is it that loud in the cockpit?

It’s reasonably loud in the cockpit when the main entrance door is open, as it typically is while the APU is running during initial cockpit setup until such time as the passengers board, which usually doesn’t happen all preparations are complete, and the crew is ready to start engines.

It’s loudest when the bleed air is set to “on” to run the air conditioning units, since this is when the APU is working hardest.

The sound level drops once the entrance door is closed, but it can still be heard.

From outside, the APU can actually seem almost as loud as the engines. It’s a different type of sound - The APU sound is dominated by the exhaust blast, which is a continuous roar. The engines at idle merely whine, with most of the sound coming from the spinning fans in the inlets.

Hi:

I'm also having an issue getting the GTN 750 to appear on the center counsle and as a pop-up.

Was there and worked fine in 1.7B, but nothing in 1.8

Thanks.

With the Reality XP gtn, i find if you click on the plastic trim to the left of the screen, where it drops down a bit, it opens as a pop up

Thanks Nick.

I had an install issue.  A fresh install fixed everything.

Take care.

Not sure what happened, but with v 1.8 beta, I have lost the strobe lights completely.  They worked fine in v1.7.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled the falcon twice.  I am running P3D (4.4) . Anybody else having this issue ?

Hi:

I have the co-pilot's HSI set to "auto-set" the GTN 750 course.  However I noticed that while the CDI aligns correctly, the To/From indicator doesn't set/point/turn to the correct course.  In others words the pilot's HSI is aligned (pointing) to a correct course of 251 while the co-pilot's side is aligning (pointing) to an incorrect course of 315.

Thanks.
