Freeze (vs. Pause) plugin?

Recommended Posts

Is there a "freeze" plugin for XP11 to fix aircraft in a certain position but to allow changes in the avionics settings?

Thanks,

You can pause the sim. I think you can still change stuff in the avionics with it paused, press the 'P' key to try it.

Freezing would be great to perform Procedures as PM without flying all over the place or crashing...nobody knows if this is possible?

Did you press the P key to pause your Sim?  Don't know if X-plane has that or not.

I have pause on my x52 stick, mostly for screenshots - use in the cockpit seems to depend on the aircraft, some things are clickable on some models but not all.

I think that big full motion simulators and also Aerowinx PSX has "Motion freeze" function - everything is still going on (avionics working, engines burning fuel) but aircraft is in fixed location. X-Plane does not seems to have this option, should make proposal to Austin.

Since it was easy enough to do and does have some utility, I've produced a script that freezes the user aircraft using a default function:

A simple little script indeed - but oh so useful!!! Many thanks.

I use it to take screenshots from within Reshade - as the regular XP pause leaves the menu visible - and going in/out of XP "playback" mode is a little clumsy.
