Almost no difference ))

Just watching the video not the numbers 2080ti look the smoothest. The autogen draw was better on the 2080. I have a 1080ti I will stay with that. Thanks for the video Alex.

Ouch!  Seen them at Best Buy for $1250.00!  And no huge difference?  I'll keep using my trusty 1080 than u very much. 😝

Intel i9-12900KF, Asus Prime Z690-A MB, 64GB DDR5 6000 RAM, (3) SK hynix M.2 SSD (2TB ea.), 16TB Seagate HDD, Gigabyte GeForce 5080 RTX, Corsair iCUE H70i AIO Liquid Cooler, UHD/Blu-ray Player/Burner (still have lots of CDs, DVDs!)  Windows 10, (hold off for now on Win11),  EVGA 1300W PSU
Netgear 1Gbps modem & router, (3) 27" 1440 wrap-around displays
Full array of Bravo, Saitek and GoFlight hardware for the cockpit. Varjo and HP VR headsets for mixed reality.

Go to the 3:45 mark in the video and watch the autogen drawing on each side and then tell yourself there's little to no difference.

If your seeing equal performance there is something wrong with your test or setup.  When I did my comparison my 2080ti usage was anywhere from 35% to 45% lower then my 1080ti thus allowing higher AA, shadows, clouds, and lighting settings.

I noticed this too.  I’ve also never seen such a drastic autogen difference just by swapping GPU’s before.  I smell a rat.

My GTX970 and my settings give me autogen draw about 1/2 way between the two cards as I see it.

Personally, the whole thing of autogen draw in P3DV4+ just sucks, I hate it, its the real weakness of this sim, and if I'm not mistaken I thought I notices some micro pauses...which again, if true really sucks as well especially given this video card hardware.

What am I missing here? The 2080ti seems to be performing much better with regards to autogen? I hardly saw it draw/load any at all. Not sure why the OP is unhappy?

Not sure you're missing anything.  The autogen rendering is much better with the 2080Ti.

And I was sure autogen is CPU dependent...

Throw in lots of shadows, cranck up the AA and you will see a big difference between those cards.

3.01 -3.05 the 1800ti FPS is higher FPS due to the fact it`s not loading some scenery buildings just in front of the wing, and near the start 2080ti is 10FPS better.

IN a Q400 I thought the FPS was terrible would like to know what the CPU is and clocked to because low 20's in probably the most FPS friendly aircraft we can buy is bad.

I personly would want a CPU at 5+ before I would even think about a 2080Ti.

Yes the AG was better but low 20's imo is really poor. Even in the teens at some point and stuttering
