I'm reading about a lot of issues with the new ORBX installer on several forums.  Didn't they do beta testing for it first?  Seems like it needed a bit more time in the oven to rise first...

IMO they wanted to integrate too many things at the time, Mac/Linux/Windows OS, XP11/FSX/P3D/AF2 and for those to add new functionalities. And they needed a longer open beta test . Generally beta-testers do their job with conscience but they know their stuff more than  the average simmer.

BTW OC is not a must have, if you have no plan to buy new sceneries, are not obsessed by P3D files structure or don’t need to find room for their gigantic TE files.

Exactly so. I still need a couple of airports but I won't buy them until (unless) they fix the OC mess........

Being a bit facetious here but isn't that kind like Lockheed trying to integrate a heavy lift transport, strategic bomber, air superiority fighter, and close air support fighter-bomber into a single airframe?

The tires are worn.  The shocks are shot.  The steering is wobbly.  But the engine still runs fine.

Indeed. But I can't decide if can best described as SNAFU or FUBAR.................Doug

Jeff - You don't need to repurchase the ORBX scenery for v4.5. What you have works just fine. FTXCentral will do the install and put everything in the right place.........Doug

Thanks.

Best thing is to wait for the next fresh install of P3D instead of migrating now.
