Just going to run a Chromebook and not upgrade to a Windows computer. Too many problems with the new Sims! 😱
Trying to keep peace and harmony and the will of Landru on the site seems to be a full time job!

That'll be S$25

The add-on scenery for Malaysia is, as you would imagine, a bit thin on the ground. There's a few on Flightsim.com but I couldn't be arsed to jump through the hoops they require. There is one for Kuala Lumpur P3D (WMKK)         and FSX (WMKK)on AVSIM (hoorah!)

Flight plan in both formats (mustn't forget the GTNers, Traffic Traffic) are HERE

It's around 320nm so figure out which aircraft you need I'm looking at a V-Tail Bonanza atm.

Excuse me while I go and find the rest of the post to copy'n'paste.

There, got it.

Time and Weather
We should fly real weather...(snip)... For takeoff on Saturday, set the simulator at 2:00pm local.

Strong, but brief rains throughout the year, so there is no rainy season as such in Malaysia. On the West coast of Malaysia (Langkawi, Penang, Pangkor) the rainy season is not pronounced and almost falls from may to September; in April, may and October on the West coast of the Peninsula fall thunderstorms.

Umbrella or no umbrella, you decide.

It'll be just as well to leave any scenery snobbery at home this time.

Ron,

Is that a 340? OOPS, 421?

Is the Alabeo a good buy?

As Alabeo's/Carenado's go, yes. Well I like it.

If that is any recommendation.

Unfortunately no cherry liqueur in the house otherwise I'd have had a go at it 🍹

I'll have to settle for joining the flight instead

310 or 421 or vtail? Might actually be able to join today!. 1800 UTC in est? might be 1400 Eastern! Hopefully will see y'all!.

Thank you Nick. I have to say it turned out better than I expected. Hairy finish though!

Very nice flight Ron, thanks.

For anyone who missed it during the flight, here's the link for the alternative FDE for the Carenado PC12 by Bernt Stolle in the AVSIM library:

https://library.avsim.net/download.php?DLID=211584

I didn't notice much if any difference with the new FDE.

Thanks Ron for the flight!
Mother Nature really put a cap on this one - wow!
During the last 2 legs, I would hold down the shutter button for a while trying to capture some lightning shots.
450 images later, only 3 or 4 developed into workable shots with "wimpy" lightning.
I swear I was hit once! Of course, the shutter button was not pressed. 😞
A few cool shots of those PC-12 guys. Someone needs to put a leash on those 2 - we will run out of airspaces to play in after all the sanctions.. LOL
