Did I read something correctly about release?

Featured Replies

Just got home from Munich (Octoberfest) and I thought I read somewhere about a release of Microsoft flight Simulator on October 10.  Is that correct or was it a hoax?  Where did I read that and it must be a practical joke.

Right?

At the end of One of the videos circling around it says “coming October 10th” or something along those lines..I can’t remember what video but I clearly saw it and thought it was odd...but clearly it’s not for the release.

That has to do with the Tech Alpha. No word on RTM.

Thank you.

The October 10th reference was for the first episode of their "Discovery" series videos they are releasing which is  "Ep # 1 - World".  Can always hope for a 10/10/20 release though......

One of the vloggers who was at the event said that they're shooting for a mid-year release NEXT year.  I don't remember which video I saw that in, there are so many posts in the past few days, but he's a legit aviation guy on Youtube, present at the event so... I wish it was sooner.

Thanks for clearing that up,  Figured it wasn’t the actual release but was quite confused.

I believe this new sim will not released for purchase (or subscription) before at least late Spring of 2020 or later:  Still much actual development, and testing is in the cards...  Microsoft sure  does not want another flop like Flight, or the somewhat flawed and outdated FSX...

And also if they announced it now.......a year is veeeery long in such projects with huge unexpected curves...

Thanks for clearing that up.  I was getting too excited and my Iwatch said my heartbeat was a little too fast.
