MSFS will be playable at X019

Recommended Posts

Would be nice to have the feedback from people attending the event. Apparently the sim will be available for testing there. Screenshots and videos would be nice.

I don't think MSFS will be the big talking point at XO19 you think it will be amongst the gamers.

That's what I meant, nice to see that they want to show off this type of 'game'. Being the longest running franchise at Microsoft might have something to do with that.

Really interested to see what they will unveil at the event, will be glued to the livestream for sure 😃

Wasn’t the msfs trailer the most viewed trailer of e3 (at least before the cyberpunk one was released at the end)? I’m sure it won’t be the biggest attraction there, but it’s bound to be popular.

Or maybe that was just because we all watched it a million times? 😉

Highly probable, it must be my personal most viewed YouTube movie ever... by far LOL

Same here, I always get goosebumps at 1:23 (giraffes shot).

The biggest release next year for project scarlet will probably be the new HALO due out about the same time, and in simulators flight is not the most popular.

Neither of which will be at xo19 this week...

I doubt it'll be the main attraction of the show, but I think you'd be surprised.  The Flight Simulator reveal at E3 in June, was considered by many to be one of the highlights of the entire show, because it was completely unexpected and looked amazing.

MSFS is also one of the few things they are (likely) launching in the latter half of 2020, that they can actually show and talk about at length - stuff like Halo Infinite won't be shown until they are actually ready to talk about the next console (almost certainly at E3 2020).

The big talking point at E3 in June was MS coming back to flight sim.

PS which we now know was planed before FSW was released in early access they were plotting all along to make FSW fail.

Don’t be fooled, there will be very little information on MSFS at the X019.

The people who will be at the event are waiting for something other than MSFS. It’s a very small market.

it is currently a small market, but it has reasons.

Previously you needed a very good computer and good hardware. The graphics were always pretty poor in comparison. It has provided for most short-term entertainment. Finding a new plane was not easy for a beginner.

I am confident that the market can and will grow.

It’s not just that. Flight simulation also has an image problem (or not a problem, depending on your perspective). It’s for old men or for very boring people, or a combination of the two. Having terrific graphics will trump all of that, though I was a little surprised to hear that asobosoft have not really put any thought into the game aspect of this game, outside of missions.
