Little doubt that MSFS will a subscription model on GamePass

"Microsoft streaming service Project xCloud will come to Windows 10 PCs in 2020" - Eurogamer

"he spoke about Project xCloud,  Microsoft's take on video game streaming, which already seems like a cool proposition as it plans integration with Game Pass in 2020."

"Now at launch. Microsoft puts all its big first-party games on ... Game Pass day and date with their launch in the shops."

"I have insight into what's coming....  Game Pass can actually enable great single-player games and stories to be told."

"This from news.microsoft "Other news announced at X019 included 50 new titles for Xbox Game Pass, including ... Microsoft Flight Simulator will also join Game Pass."

So when you put this all together,  xCloud will be come to PC in 2020 + it will integrate with Game Pass + MSFS will join Game Pass = A streaming subscription with an offline mode.

To me, this looks more like: 1 + 2 + 3 = 123.

There may well be an xCloud offering at some point but we've already heard the team state that all rendering currently happens on the client.

You don't know what game pass is, do you..?

Here we go again... 🙄

I know that you a fishing for controversy, but as a shower thought, spending $5 a month to have consistently updated scenery and accoutrements doesn't really sound so bad.

Keep the blue part on top...

Sure Jim, they’ve already confirmed the sim will be available on the Game Pass, but it was already exhaustively said that games available on the Game Pass library can also be purchased if you don’t want to sign up to the service or if you want to have the game “forever” on your library.

Being a Game Pass title doesn’t mean you will need to subscribe to the service to grant access to the sim. There will be possible to just buy it on the Windows Store (Steam is also a big possibility).

People are still mixing the concepts of Project Xcloud, Game Pass and Azure AI. They are 3 different beasts and they don’t exist to limit the model the sim will be distributed.

The official statement so far is: They don’t want to use a subscription model for the sim. It was said on the press conference in Seattle, back in september.

Not like this, OP

I am going to have to close this topic if there is confusion that the Microsoft News for November 14th is in error.  All we are going to see is trolling and arguments.
