5 months later, the E3 trailer has 5 million views. The X019 trailer is just shy of 1 million views in just 10 days. The hype MSFS is generating is unreal. 

Their production team needs a raise. The music compliments the entire aesthetic of the video beautifully. The youtube comments on the video are quite hilarious though !

It's Xbox, their production teams are one of the best in the world, due to the Xbox One Release fiasco. Flight Simulator is one of the most important releases of next year, so they made it the best they could

It is. But things like Steam and other platforms do give it more visibility, which also means more users, more sales etc etc.

Sadly we also have to deal with "in-another-life" pilots flying from their basement while wearing a captain hat and looking down on new players based on what they might have played before and also companies who don't see the visibility such platforms can give them, especially when they also require a cut on their earnings.

I hope this will at least partially change

and 1614 *-plane flyer visited it too 😉

This. I have seen this type of simmer in real life and on various forums. They are dull, boring and extremely jaded. They look down with scorn and new players, specially those who come to the sim from FPS games like Far Cry, Arma, COD etc and want to try something new. We need new blood and this kind of snotty attitude needs to stop.

At an airshow I came across 4 snotty simmers and they saw me looking at a taxiying Airbus A330 and said "Lol do you even know what that is? Lol lol"

I replied "Its a Boeing DreamHornet B460-200"

Their faces turned purple because they then knew that I knew what it was and poking fun at them mad them so mad! 

 

 

Very exciting times, for sure.  Glad I still have at least a decade left (actuarial tables) to see all this unfold! 🙂

It beat out Halo Infinite's view count too. The live reaction to the MSFS trailer does not reflect the true enthusiasm of all flight sim gamers, that's for sure.
