Testers

Featured Replies

Many people have been Alpha testing MsF2020 fo a while now and here and there they show in game screenshots which of course look very nice...but what about real feedback?...I mean is there a place where they actually talk about how the whole experience is for them?...so that we can also get a bit of insight?...or is that already happening but I just don't know where to look?...

I don't know if you're joking or not but if you are not..the testers are under a NDA (None Disclosure Agreement) so they are not allowed to disclose anything good or bad about the sim.

Oh...sorry my bad!...

I was absolutely not joking...I really did not know this.

Thanks for the information...I guess the rest of us will have to wait and see.

And they have closed forum for that.

I agree to all the prevous posts and add that you have to consider, that this is still an Alpha and the reason MS is giving those people access to the game, is to improve it. So talking about an unfinished product is not helpful to them and not conclusive to us.

Happy with MSFS 🙂

I'm actually looking more forward to read what the testers have found and what they think about the game, than getting into the test program. Yep, I know it's a long wait, but I don't mind waiting for it's release (whenever that will be). but look forward to when they open up the forum so we all can participate in the debate. I don't expect it to be until shortly before release, so it will probably be quite some time before it happens.

Yep...its basically a wait and see game for now...but it does look very promising!

That's the hardest part of not being chosen for the alpha test.  It puts us outside the loop while the testers can freely discuss the new sim daily.  A ton of people are learning new things about MFS every day while us unlucky ones are still completely in the dark.

It's going to be a long difficult wait until the end of the year.

I would not want to be part of the alpha testing. Not because I have anything against the new MFS. I just don't like using half completed products. I remember having to wait (an eternity) for each successive volume of the Horizon UK VFR Photographic Scenery, and it was utter torture! I wanted to be able to fly freely around the entire British Isles, and that was simply not possible with areas of naked default scenery still uncovered.

I suspect that it is a special kind of OCD

Do as i am going to do. Forget MFS and fly Xplane/P3D.

Stay away from those weekly updates, since it is only going to kill you inside.

They also kind of silenced this forum. Hundreds of users have their private forum now.

People are so desperately trying to get into the alpha, one has to wonder whether any serious testing is going on at all or whether it's just to satisfy their desperation for something they can't have.

Truth will be known on release

The latter is more obvious. And it's so in your face that I have stopped visiting avsim on daily basis. Complaints and hatred are over the top lately.

Oh I'm sure a lot of serious testing is being done.  This community is full of passionate flight simmers, and a lot of us have done testing for the franchise before.  Certainly there will be those who just wanted to fly something new for free while they can, but I'm sure a healthy portion of the testers are doing very good work.

Would MS have a way of making sure people are actually testing? Kick the ones just screwing around and make way for us Alpha-outsiders willing to test I say. 😁
