Yes, it was the Microsoft (Xbox) E3 press conference. The MSFS announcement and trailer were not about the Xbox Series X, it was even on the trailer, coming to Windows 10 and Xbox One. Note the Xbox One is the current generation of Xbox.

MSFS is not for XBOX one so you now know the specs for the sim 3.8GHZ 8 cores only 7 single threads for games 1 for the O/S 16GB DDR6 1TB SSD  and powerful GPU.

Lets hope it goes well on the new XBOX I don't see Microsoft pumping more millions into a title with little return future development will suffer.

Not this again. The launch trailer of the game has Xbox One on the screen. The official xbox site for the game has Xbox One listed. The game is for Xbox One and Windows PC. From everything I've seen, even though we know it will play on the Xbox Series X, it has never been officially announced for that console.

What video did you watch?

Go back to the video made this week at Redmond with the new XBOX Devs in the room it shows MSFS as one of the titles for the XBOX Series X, Posted by me page 3 of this thread.

In fact it`s in just about all the reviews of the new XBOX as one of the launch titles including Halo 5

They clarified on an interview that the simulator would later be ported to the "Xbox One family", no specific console was mentioned. The name of the newest console probably hadn't been decided then, but it is safe to assume that it is at least coming to the Xbox Series X.

Microsoft has said that they are planning on all Xbox titles for the next year or two running in both the current Xbox One consoles as well as the upcoming Series X. In other words, they aren’t planning on making any exclusive to the new console generation yet.

XBOX Series X will have backward compatibility for old titles aka XBOX one, but future titles that devs make for use of the XBOX Series X tech will only be able to be used on the XBOX Series X Hardware.

Microsoft has said that none of their first party titles will be exclusive to the Series X for the next year or two, and will run on the current Xbox consoles as well.

I haven't stated it's not coming to the Xbox Series X. I said it's officially been announced as a Xbox One game.

The whole argument over this is stupid. It's coming to both consoles but the official page only had the Xbox One listed. The whole thing that started this anyway was the fact that MSFS will not sell the Series X by any big amount in comparison to making up the sales gap between Microsoft and Sony. It's a niche market.

The Xbox Series X isn't family to the Xbox One. The Xbox One has the Xbox One, Xbox One S and Xbox One X in the family. The game was officially announced to be a Windows PC and Xbox One game from the launch trailer and official game page. Of course it's coming to the Xbox Series X but I'm not sure why the above information is hard to understand.

Is this in relation to MSFS? If so what are you thinking it means?

I agree, MSFS2020 isn't going to make much difference to Xbox sales. In fact, I think it's the other way around. The sim is coming to the Xbox to try and give the sim the largest market possible in order to be sustainable.

PC sales? LOL. Look at total GTA V sales by platform:

unfair example as it wasnt released to pc til much later.

MSFS Alpha tester on W10 Pro x64. Hardware: AMD 5900X 12 core CPU. Cooler Master ML360R AIO, Asus X570-E mobo, Asus Strix 3090 24GB gfx card, G.Skill TridentZ 64GB (4x16) DDR4-3600 RAM, Samsung 970 250GB SSD (OS), Samsung 980 Pro 1TB M.2 pcie-4 NVMe SSD (MSFS install). EVGA 850w Gold cert PSU, CUK Continuum full ATX tower.  43" Sceptre 4K display. VR: HP Reverb G2.

Give me and example of a recent hit game that sold the most on the PC platform. The release of GTA V isn't unique. The PC version of RDR 2 took forever also to release and hardly sold at all.
