At first it was pure excitement, now is a waiting calvary with profound anxiety.

Followed by a lot of youtube users making tedious videos such as 'the top six reasons...' for their channel, instead of actually coming up with some original and thoughtful content, in the desperate hope that they can cash in on it all with some advertising revenue from people watching their pointless video in the hopes of learning something new about it all. Which they won't, because all it is, is an attempt to jump on the gravy train from someone who isn't a good enough content creator to do anything original or informative.

Considering he has 176K subscribers, over 500 comments on this video and counting, as well as about 50k views so far, I submit there's good evidence a substantial amount of people find his videos informative/entertaining.....

Maybe even a few people here.

The narrator has an enigmatic attribute on his voice.

I like Obsidian Ant's channel, I think he does a good job.  I know him mostly from Elite Dangerous but since that game has been in maintenance mode for so long it's nice to see OA branching out a bit.

It feels like I'm listening to a BBC documentary narrating, just love it!

Then give me a heart reaction, I've wrote about it on top.

I know him first from Elite Dangerous as well, and from visiting the "Obsidian Orbital" space station when the developers honored him by placing it in the game. I believe voice attack has also approached him for placing his voice as a character in the game.

To that I would say that Felix Kjelberg, aka youtube’s ‘Pewdiepie’ managed To garner 103 million subscribers and 24.5 billion views on YouTube through making videos of obnoxious profanity-laden lowest common denominator rubbish. Which would tend to indicate that, as is the case with a lot of things, widespread popularity with large numbers of people is no indicator of either talent or quality.

I’ve been away from flight simming for over 4 years now and after hearing about this a few months back, I must say “blown away” was putting it mildly. THIS will get me back in the cockpit.  I suppose I’ll have to learn how to fly again first🤣

The wife has already signed off on me getting a new high powered desktop, a new yoke and throttle quadrant (that Honeycomb setup is looking good!!) and although I haven’t mentioned it to her yet, may as well throw in a 34 or 49 inch curved monitor for the icing on the cake.

So I’ll patiently wait on the sidelines in the meantime and empty the drool bucket every now and then.

Yes, I do believe I remember that argument used against the Beatles, Elvis and any number of other people of various degrees of celebrity. History makes the final judgements on such things, and life moves on.

I thought his voice and diction were flawless, as well as soothing and melodious.

And if it doesn't meet expectations it will be crucified. Or a better analogy would be it being crucified for being perfect.😁

Maybe we find it a bit less interesting because we inform ourselves more on MSFS itself, while a good chunk of his subjscribers probably get updated about it via his videos
