I found out the hard way when I finally set P3Dv4.5 to run as administrator.  I had to set TrackIR to run as administrator as well or it didn't show up in the sim.

Run the setup files in these two folders and then it will auto recognise your track IR. I had the same issue and it fixed it.

No joy by installing the legacy simconnect. I have notes that at some point in the past, it was necessary to make some modification to the manifest of Simconnect. Does this ring a bell to somebody ?

The right green led is not lighting which indicates that no software has registered with TrackIR software to send enhanced tracking. So apparently, it doesn't detect p3d v5.

If I recall correctly, EZCam (and probably also Chaseplane) disables one or two manifest files in TrackIR's folder by renaming them. You could try renaming them back.

I did both of the above in that order. Cant say if bought are required. If I was to do it again I would do the bottom first see if it worked and if not do the top one. Since I did the top one first which didn't work on its own but when I did the bottom one it worked.

Now that's one major problem solved. On to the next!😁

Yep, thanks for the tip. instead of renaming the manifest, I reinstalled Chaseplane with the Orbx Central new delivery system and it did solve the problem. But yes, Chaseplane also requires to rename the manifest.

 

Did you run the game list updater in TrackIR?  That is sometimes necessary when installing a new application that uses it.

You shouldn't need to run the TrackIR game updater. P3D use the same simconnect in P3D as it did for FSX.

It works right out of the box provided that chase plane or EZCA didn't alter its .manifest files

I don't even know what simconnect is. 🙂 I'm running v5 in parallel with v4.5. I just downloaded v5, installed it, and voilard. TrackIR worked just as it did in v4.5.

Yes but not necessary in my case as i click the Exclusive field in the Track IR interface which define only one profile for all games.

Do you have EZCA or Chaseplane installed on your system?

Using TrackIR 5 and ChasePlane without any need for re-installation or intervention on my part. I have both v4.5 and v5 installed and active.

Did you install Chaseplane before trying TrackIR in V5 or perhaps the initial time you used both simultaneously?
