I think yes  (I noticed few issues for example on Homer airport PHAO too - I checked it in v4.5 and didnt notice it!!!). PILOTS didnt check changes for v5 like this differences of data and release too quickly thier FSGU NG2020.

Next problem in v5 - HKKT, HKEL . I think we have many this issues in v5 with FSGU NG2020. Both airports with the same mesh are ok in P3Dv4.5 HT3. Here in P3Dv5 they have different datas and the differences are very big.

I think " FSGU NG2020 v4, v5 " isnt ready and compatible for v5 (for P3Dv4 yes and advice it for v4). AFM2 or 3 doesnt fix it, does I must change 20.000 airports manually? ;D

what elevation do you have in sim for these airports?

I seriously doubt we will need either VECTOR or an addon mesh for V5. I have been testing with or without mesh addons and i see practically the same results without the addon and no elevation issues in airports. Mount everest never looked so good.

HKKT:
Elevation in V4: 5741,01 ft
Elevation in V5: 6069,99 ft
Correct elevation is 6070 ft -> so V5 has the correct elevation, but the mesh is not correct.

HKEL:
Elevation in V4: 6940,99 ft
Elevation in V5: 6045,01 ft
Correct elevation is 6942 ft -> so P3D is almost correct here too 😉

Did you check these airports with the default-mesh too? I'm not on my sim-computer, so don't know if they re displayed correctly without 3rd party mesh 🤔

No problem, I'll check it and back here, maybe default is better 😉 = less problems ;).

you have erroneous data, in P5 6945ft, real world 6945ft too😉

at the expense of the vector I agree 100%, the mesh is better than before but could be even better, even a free mesh has a more realistic look:

If you have  downloaded the files with ext .zip and you try to unzip those files,  you will be asked for a password. You have to rename ext  .zip to .bin first, and then run installer!

What is the verdict with this upgrade? I have the 2018 Ultimate NG 

and I just got my license for P3Dv5 today.

 

And does the P3Dv5 installer uses xml method to install or old standard via scenery.cfg
