I honestly can’t blame you. I sort of looked at it like “don’t cut your nose off to spite your face.” I hated making the payment but I know in the end, life is short, especially considering the craziness going on right now. I will probably end up happier having bought it because the buyer’s remorse will wear off in short order. May 2, 20206 yr Being myself in the marketing business, I'm a stickler for excellent customer service, and I won't support a company that consistently falls short. As I said, if PMDG were the only company left to make addons, I'd rather switch to Eurotruck simulator. PMDG has managed to convince simmers that there offerings are the "best" - but is this actually true? Is there objective data on this? I'm not convinced. Most of us are not Boeing pilots, so we have to take their word for this. The ifly 737 and 747 do the job of getting you from A to B just fine.

May 2, 20206 yr I bought the NGXu after learning about its release well after the incentive ended for credit towards MSFS. After making peace w/ the tiller ground steering I really, really like this plane! There are multiple differences between it and the prior release and every one of them adds value for me. It is so much more polished. But the tiller ground steering done w/ the Cessna Trim Wheel as tiller is just fabulous and I can't wait until the other models from PMDG go to this which believe they will. It's so much more realistic to have ultra fine control which makes taxiing a very pleasant part of the whole flight experience. The EFB's I'm just getting in to, I love the built-in REQUEST/LOAD into the performance init interface, the exterior model is stunning, and VNAV and LNAV seem smoother and more like the 777 in that regard. One oddity I find is the PBR lighting for the main panel sections is so demanding on the GPU--just turn those two light dimly on and bam, 10% increase or more in GPU loading and really it's just giving that soft night lighting to small sections of the VC in two areas. Best be careful w/ implementing PBR! May 2, 20206 yr Author One thing about the PMDG birds that, although not that big of a deal, I really value is the livery manager. It is the best I have ever seen, basically word not allowed proof. This was something that turned me off about iFly. Adding liveries, for me, seem like a big pain in the butt. It is so easy to add several liveries for the PMDG in literally seconds. But, to the point, why would anyone buy the 737 NGXu simulation for P3Dv4, now that P3Dv5 is upon us? It's not yer daddy's P3Dv4 anymore. Your money, but, why? I would respectfully like to request an answer as to why this post, which is condescending at best, has not been removed. I see that the handful of posts calling this guy out have all been removed. Cheers, Pete I am in a 100% agreement with this...it’s exactly what I thought when I saw everyone else’s post removed except that one, I never once was disappointed with things being moderated with avsim until this...I also respectfully request An explanation should be made even though this isn’t my post....At the very very least the moderator who removed it could have removed that comment within the post and left the rest of his post. Cheers, Pete Considering the source is just another 'nobody' updated for 2020, I'd just ignore it and likely it will go away on its own. I think both PMDG & Majestic know their product(s) are so good they deprioritize customer service knowing they've won't lose too many over poor CS. I loath asking for anything on the Maj forum and I'm sure they loath me asking questions there. FS devs really need to understand that a lot of purchases are driven by a feeling of community spirit - this is why i will support the devs who kindly gave away free stuff during the recent “stay at home” sales.
