June 4, 20206 yr It took me a few seconds to figure out whether this recent thread on the official P3d forums was for real or a joke: http://www.prepar3d.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6312&t=138409
June 4, 20206 yr Administrators Rapid City airport!💩 Charlie AronAVSIM Board of Directors-ADMIN/Moderator-RegistrarJust going to run a Chromebook and not upgrade to a Windows computer. Too many problems with the new Sims! 😱Trying to keep peace and harmony and the will of Landru on the site seems to be a full time job!
June 4, 20206 yr I always say "Kay-Wrap" for that airport, and that way I don't say KRAP. heh. I'm not at home (my login info for LM forums is there) so I can't reply to that poor guy in that thread, but someone needs to let him know that Exclusions changed with v5 and that's why he's seeing double signs. Since his developer isn't responding, he can fix it himself. A fix would be to download the latest version of ADE and drop down a big Exclusion rectangle under the airport, which excludes taxisigns. June 5, 20205 yr For the double whammy, fly Kalitta from... Little Rock... and speak quickly when telling someone about your flight...😄😜 Mark Robinson Part-time Ferroequinologist Author of FLIGHT: A near-future short story (ebook available on amazon) I made the baby cry - A2A Simulations L-049 Constellation Sky Simulations MD-11 V2.2 Pilot. The best "lite" MD-11 money can buy (well, it's not freeware!)
June 5, 20205 yr Actually KLIT is appropriate for Little Rock when you consider a governor who later became president once lived there. Noel The tires are worn. The shocks are shot. The steering is wobbly. But the engine still runs fine.
June 5, 20205 yr Commercial Member For some really funny stuff, take a look at the STARs for KATL. The best of those is now been removed, but flying Westbound into Atlanta you had something akin to DIRTY, HORNY, WOEMN, and it went downhill from there. Someone most have complained, loudly, but it wasn't me. Still the present day STARs are pretty neat. Dave Hodges System Specs: I9-13900KF, NVIDIA 4070TI, Quest 3, Multiple Displays, Lots of TERRIFIC friends, 3 cats, and a wonderfully stubborn wife.
June 5, 20205 yr How about an honorable mention for Mumbai-Juhu Airport. VAJJ... Cheers, Pete Pete Solov - Lake in the Hills 3CK and Schaumburg Regional 06CProud AOPA Member - PPL 2001Real World Piper Cherokee Pilot
June 5, 20205 yr If anyone is looking for a chuckle, plan a Biz-Jet flight from Parma, Italy to Kokomo Municipal, Indiana. Toby Rottner

There are some waypoints named FRODO and BAGINS and GNDLF or similar too, in that area -- north Alabama, western Georgia, all taken from the Lord of the Rings books. One near the Florida Keys -- MNATE -- I used to think it was for Minnie Minoso or someone named Minate -- flew it for years thinking this. Only about a year ago I realized, duh, it is short for "Manatee", which fits in with the other nautical waypoints in the area.
