Three weeks ago they said in two weeks....last week I hear around the corner.....they neglected to say which corner......Now it is bit to much. I haven't used it in almost two weeks waiting for HF2 so everyone else can update their add-ons. I am not interested flying bush or GA planes....While I was patient enough it is time to say that this is totally ridiculous...but I do have even more harsher words in my vocabulary thankfully they are not allowed.

And no, I don't have any CTD and like V5 but they should stop dragging their feet with update, so we can all move on.

Three weeks ago they said ".... in a few weeks ...", not one, two, three or four.

And the "... around the corner ..." you heard not from LM but from BETA testers who don't know exactly. 

I am lazy to search but it was two weeks....doesn't matter. Even though I have no issue and like I have to say that someone failed.....Either those "beta testers" or something else but it is now after almost two months very bad. Let alone that choice of beta testers might be wrong and their ability to pick everything. But like everything else these days.....

I personally just wouldn’t mind a development update from the company I gave my money, too. 
I don’t think that’s unreasonable.  
 

By the way, the exact quote was “a couple of weeks” so not sure who’s lazy here. 
 

In any case I’d understand if it ended up taking longer but the complete radio silence is somewhat annoying. I don’t need an estimated release date but just not communicating at all isn’t a good look either. YMMV. 

For once I'll agree with Rob, surely it's better to wait an extra 2 weeks or more so they can pack more fixs into the update, god knows they need too. 

They where never going to admit there's a ton of issues with v5 it would damage the brand image of their product.

I was just commenting on your dismissive post accusing somebody else of being lazy when in fact he was right about the “two / couple of weeks” quote. I found your tone very condescending for no evident good reason. I don’t think that tone is appropriate in a conversation between adults.

 

I am fine with waiting but am not a fan of the lack of communication. The idea that making a quick two line development update post takes away significant development resources is rather funny.

And regarding it being “around the corner”. I have been part of enough software development and beta tests to know that the beta testers have no idea how “around the corner” a release really is, usually.

 

I’m not going to bother replying to the hyperbole in the rest of your post.

Hey Rob A. -- I agree with you and appreciate all that you do here. Obviously I don't agree with flycln. How many non-game developers release fix dates (unless they have a published schedule of release dates)? Or what they are working on? Virtually none. But the 'game' experts here who are probably non-developers don't understand that. As one who has managed a 10,000 seat non-game (i.e. business application) development and implementation effort with a budget of well north of 7 figures, I guess I don't know what I am talking about.... /s

What is this all about? I didn't have time to look in here, because I did fly hours and hours in P3DV5HF1 without one single CTD, and than I come back here and see this Tombola here....

I'm not sure when the hot fix will come out.  I do know I spend 200 US for a product that is still buggy.  When I was working, I had software worth $3000 to $5000 and i expected a different level of service and got 24 hour support that I expected.  For the $200 dollars I spend on P3DV5, I'm getting the support I expected. 

Moving on, I have not had the CTD's that everybody is talking about other that the issue with 2D pop-up windows mentioned in an earlier post, but there are still bugs that have to be fix.  For example, If LM decides to fix the vector data for the HF2, we may not see the next HF for awhile. Just try flying in the Canadian Arctic with the default vector data.

I do know if you have an older graphics card that only has 4GB of ram, you're going to have issues.  One fancy plane with hi-res PBR textures and sliders towards the high side, you will run out of VRAM and a CTD. in this case is LM the problem or your computer?

Who has tropical sim installed?

QW787 for P3DV4 in V5 installed

I think the list of root P3DV5 ctd isn't that long as many think. But it always is amusing seeing this behaviour over here.

Yes there are a lot of issues. Bit saying that every ctd is caused by P3Dv5 can't be right

audi is baggy,  bmw is buggy, vw is buggy, boeing is buggy (has CTD also), and so far and so on.

Yes....to many issues aren't satisfying us. But go to LM site and post over there. That should bring more attention at it. 

Some guys and girls are pretty rude here.

What is this? Kindergarten cop? Try to be a little friendly to the ones who share all the same hobby. We all want the same. Flying and enjoying the sim. I am sure about that. This leads to nothing.
