I got a nice boost in fps over the earlier 32-bit one for P3D v1-3 and FSX. Ray (Cheshire, England). I am using the EGLL scenery for V5 from Simwings/Aerosoft and I am very pleased with it. However, it is a very demanding scenery and I also use it to test my system how far I can increase my settings until the memory error comes up. Fps is excellent but memory …….. With very high settings and using GSX2 it only takes a few seconds to crash P3Dv5. Edited June 16, 20205 yr by Yogipriester Jürgen Martens, DK7HN

With very high settings and using GSX2 it only takes a few seconds to crash P3Dv5. No memory problems with v4.5 but it is a most demanding airport. With AIG Ai I have to limit them to around 120 in an 80nm bubble which will also include Gatwick, London City and probably Stansted. But most are at Heathrow. That keeps core 0 only touching 100% on occasions when the frame rate is limited to 30. That is crucial to a smooth performance and not stressing the system. Ray (Cheshire, England). June 16, 20205 yr Commercial Member I'd vote for the uk2000 one because they are great quality, decent performance and the dev is directly approachable through the forum. Also get regular updates and compatibility fixes with them. June 17, 20205 yr Another vote for UK2000 - flying in on the Aerosoft A330 I am hitting no higher than 4.6 on the VRAM (max available 5.2). For comparison I have maxxed out with FlyTampa KLAS on the taxiway before even getting airborne.
June 17, 20205 yr I have 7.1 GB VRAM , so memory is not an issue.. i'm more worried about fps.. if i got gatwick instead of LHR, will that be a smoother ride overall? or will the adjacent LHR and city autogen tank still tank my fps? the 2 airports are about 40 miles apart.. if i set LOD to medium, it should not even load the other airport.. is a v5 compatible gatwick available? June 17, 20205 yr However, UK2000 Gatwick is currently only showing P3D V1-V4. Perhaps the installer hasn't been updated, but that doesn't necessarily mean that Gatwick won't work in V5 as is.I'm assuming that Tutmeister is referring to Gatwick specifically? Vinod - the FPS tanking might depend upon which direction you depart Gatwick, just saying.. 😎 Mark Robinson Part-time Ferroequinologist Author of FLIGHT: A near-future short story (ebook available on amazon) I made the baby cry - A2A Simulations L-049 Constellation Sky Simulations MD-11 V2.2 Pilot. June 17, 20205 yr i checked on simmarket and it shows both the gatwicks are only v4 ready so far.. (jenna and uk2000) Vinod Kumar i9 10900K 5.3 Ghz, RTX 3090, 32GB RAM, Win 11. Alpha-Yoke, Bravo-Throttles, TM Joystick, TM-Rudder, 48" 4K TV.

I try to do the same. I suspect that it's default central London, regardless of any other scenery, that is the FPS nightmare. (and also IRL a nightmare, but that's just the prejudice of a north of England country boy :-)) Edited June 17, 20205 yr by Petraeus Petraeus
