June 26, 20205 yr Known issue of beta EA will hopefully be resolved in 5.1 and a new version of ASP3D

June 27, 20205 yr It's not a bug. LM has not included multiple "cloud volumes" in the present implementation. That's the trueSky term for having different weather in different locations within the user's reality bubble. So the weather is the same everywhere you can see, until it changes and then it happens instantaneously.
June 27, 20205 yr Beta, Beta, Beta. Did I mention Beta? Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10700F CPU @ 2.90GHz (8 cores) Hyper on, Evga RTX 3060 12 Gig, 32 GB ram, Windows 11, P3D v6, and MSFS 2020 and a couple of SSD's

June 27, 20205 yr I have the issue today in LOWW where no clouds are reported, but active sky creates few clouds with EA enabled. So there is now "clear sky" Edited June 27, 20205 yr by mobiel

June 27, 20205 yr If I remember correctly, the use of ASP3D is still beta also in V5. You gotta remember v5 has turned DX12. Not to mention we just now are getting graphic drivers that are made for DX12, on top of that Win 10 is now beta with the ver 2004 release. The whole kit and caboodle is beta. But I'm liking it. June 27, 20205 yr Moderator ASP3D without EA performs pretty much as it did in V4. There are a few bugs that are being worked out. Using ASP3D with EA however has some serious issues mainly the cloud popping or rather the instant weather change, 4 hours ago, LHookins said: Does this mean I won't see a situation where I'm flying in clear sky and see a thunderstorm off in the distance? Yes. In it's current implementation EA just shows a single theme until you get to the next weather read and then changes it instantly. ASP3D has no control over that as there is no API available for LM's beta implementation. EA is there just to show what can be done down the road but it is still just a beta with most features disabled. If you want to see what it looks like thewn enable irt but if you want to fly in real weather - use ASP3D without it. Vic RIG#1 - I9 14900K MSI Pro z790 RTX 5070Ti 40" 4K Monitor 3840x2160

I can hardly compare the "Beta" of P3Dv5/EA or the Beta with Active Sky for Prepar3D with Windows 10 2004... Edited June 27, 20205 yr by vbazillio Vincent B.
